The sun was just beginning to rise over the Rocky Mountains, but Sheriff Justin Smith was already awake. He was standing outside Fort Collins High School shivering in the frigid cold.
It was 12 degrees. Snow was falling. But Mr. Smith, wearing his dress blues, stood resolute, waving an American flag.
The sheriff of Larimer County, Colorado had come to school Tuesday to send a message to those responsible for educating the countys children. The sheriff was not in a good mood.
He was standing in the winter snow to protest the schools decision to ban a celebration of American patriotism.

“”All of the really STUPID people are running our education systems...””””
Those who can, do
Those who can’t, teach
Those who can’t teach, teach gym
Those who can’t teach gym, get doctorates and run the school.

And amazingly, virtually every one of them holds and advanced degree.
Apparently, it’s now going to be a celebrate “your” country
day.....sigh.
Lift the rock. Watch em scurry

Those who can, do.
Those who can't, teach.
Those who can't teach, administrate.
Those who can't administrate, make policy.
Those who can, do.
Those who can't, teach.
Those who can't teach, administrate.
Those who can't administrate, make policy.

Because sergeantdave was involved in local politics for nearly 20 years.
Good catch.
It’s on I25 which is definitely on the east side of the Rockies.
