I guess my personal boycott on drive thru burgers is working well.
WE ELECT folks to preserve protect and defend our way of life,, we get soggy fries and peed-off part-time food tenders.
The Founding Fathers would flip their wigs if they saw this debacle in action.
And the Obamacare lovers are loving this..why..because this is what they wanted..more people dependent on Govt...less people working, more people collecting Govt treats
This was in WaPo?
“DEMOCare as another freeper called it last week...”
Good for that FREEPER. DEMOCRATCARE, DEMOCARE, whatever. Getting the point made that it’s the DEMOCRATS is what is necessary.
How many temp jobs were added to facilitate the transition?
Probably a reduction in the existing jobs - this isn't counting the countless number that will never be created because of this law.
Even accepting the numbers, it is still a horrific result.
ObamaCare was designed PURPOSELY to FAIL:
Hence, the Powers That Be will use their minions in the media to blame Health Insurance Companies, triggering the sheeple to DEMAND the government DO SOMETHING and Voila!!!
Single Payer: Just what the left always wanted anyway....
From 1999 to 2012...
Population growth: ~12.40% (+34,312,000)
Uninsured growth: ~27.18% (+10,249,000)
Government insured growth: ~51.25% (+34,390,000)
* Medicaid growth: ~86.10% (+23,550,000)
* Medicare growth: ~32.15% (+11,894,000)
* Military covered: ~37.78% (+5,176,000)
Drop the Military figures out of the numbers of government insured and growth drops only slightly to 49.87% as over 29.2 million joined the Medicaid/Medicare rolls.
If the ranks of the uninsured kept pace with population growth there would be nearly 5.6 million FEWER uninsured than there are. Obviously, there was legitimate basis for some concern over what market forces were driving people to opt out of all health insurance options, but the potential public-sector expenditure of paying for medical treatment of some subset of these uninsured was NOT AT ALL “the big problem” we needed to focus on.
If the ranks of the government insured, less military personnel, kept pace with population growth there would be almost 22 million FEWER government insured than there are. Glaringly obvious is that factors spurring the growing ranks of the government insured was — and remains — a public-sector expenditure issue FOUR TIMES GREATER than that represented by the potential medical expenses incurred annually among the totally uninsured. THIS is “the big problem” we should have had in our sights all along.

Like every other number they lie about, it will be at least 10 times more than that.
And there are only 12 million illegals in the U.S.
Gosh...
Who’d’a’thunk it that the Washington Post, AND the CBO would be racists!!!
So, Democratcare (using Lodi90’s term) gives people the freedom NOT to work! Let us shlubs who work pay for it!
(...And yet the GOP's puppet master, the Chamber of Amnesty, is now opposed to repealing Obamacare, stating that Congress should be working to "fix the parts of Obamacare that can be fixed")...
