Feminist groups at more than a dozen universities are planning to participate in another mass edit Wikipedia day, because the free, volunteer encyclopedia website is obviously horribly sexist.
Sarah Stierch, a Wikipedia contributor and researcher for the Wikimedia Foundation, said the problem isnt just that most Wikipedia user are male. The layout of the website is itself very masculine, she said.
Its aesthetically very masculine in its design, said Stierch in a statement to The Daily Dot, also noting that, The average Wikipedia editor is a well-educated white male. Well-educated white males have been writing history and the story of the world since ancient times.
To fix this, feminists at colleges around the country are launching another Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon. Next week, feminists are encouraged to change rewrite the online encyclopedia to make it less masculine, according to Campus Reform.
The event is a follow-up to last years similar edit-a-thon, when feminist sympathizers were called to edit feminist thought into Wikipedia articles.
Its not like my life passion to make Wikipedia feminist, but its been really surprising, theres this whole underground world that I wasnt aware of of people who are dedicated to editing Wikipedia, said Krystal South, an event organizer, in a statement to Bitch Magazine. The beauty of Wikipedia is its a public institution, people have the ability to go change it.
The University of Texas, University of Iowa, Michigan State University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison are some of the participating institutions.

If that will keep the loony (w)itches busy, have at it.
Correction. Its poorly written because its feminazi garbage.
satire ???
Naturally, the unwashed Lefties at ut in Austin would be involved. It’s pitiful to see this irrelevant group having to rewrite history to make themselves feel better about their maladjusted lives.
Is this for real?
In a civilized culture, women with these type of issues would be institutionalized for their own safety and be administered thorazine on a regular basis.
And all these womyn came to the defense of Sarah Palin during her very public unjust pilloring, right?
as usual it is the “seriousness of the charge”. Evidence is not needed.
Perhaps this is the reason why she’s so pissed:
In January 2014, the Wikimedia Foundation announced that Stierch was “no longer an employee of the Wikimedia Foundation”, after evidence was presented on a Wikimedia mailing list that she had “been editing Wikipedia on behalf of paying clients” a practice the Wikimedia Foundation said was “frowned upon by many in the editing community and by the Wikimedia Foundation”,[1] and which Wikimedia Foundation executive director Sue Gardner describes as a “black hat practice”.[1]
Well, they finally got their own mag with a perfect name.
That's code for "it is logically organized (even if much of it is logically organized garbage)."
It is so pathetic. Once, early American communities were shamed for persecuting “witches”. Now, parents spend big money at large institutions to turn their girls into witches.
Busted! Now somebody needs to post that Simpson’s “Ha! Ha!” graphic.
Shows how ridiculous and stupid feminists are.
“...Well-educated white males have been writing history and the story of the world since ancient times...”
But, let’s not give them credit for it...instead, let’s vilify them.
There are problems with the editors of Wikipedia. It went from being an open system of writing and editing to being controlled by unemployed people in their parents’ basement, fighting over turf. Ridiculous! I doubt it has anything to do with sex or gender, though. (Although, I’m sure Pajama Boy is an enthusiastic editor at Wikipedia.)
I created two pages years ago. I have been systematically squeezed out by weirdos who even questioned the veracity of a photograph I put up on an actor’s page given to me by the actor himself. A lot of jerks over at that site.
Why don’t they just start Femipedia? I’m sure it will be much much better. They can even declare it a valid source for school and college papers.
