New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, after a low-key initial response to Fridays explosive allegations about his involvement in a bridge-closing scandal, mounted an aggressive defense late Saturday afternoon, attacking The New York Times and a former political ally in an email to friends and allies obtained by POLITICO. Bottom line David Wildstein will do and say anything to save David Wildstein, the email from the governors office says, referring to the former appointee who reignited the controversy.

Attack, counterattack, over and over until somebody gives up.
I hope he likes his new friends.
agree...say what you want about Christie but I wish the rest of the pu$$y’s in the GOPe showed half the fight...
Why was it that the New York Times (AND Drudge, the NY Post, etc.) all went with a headline that wasn't supported by the information contained within their stories. Are ALL news editors that lazy? (At least the NY Times changed their headline.)
The truth: He could have been elected. The left knows that and is very afraid of him. So they did what they do the best: get out all their troops to destroy him.
Raw, Uncensored, unapologetic, uncompromising Traditional American Values Conservatism is the only place to be.
Trying to play the game on their terms will only get you screwed.
It’s Jersey bro. It will be a death match. This is what we do here.
I don’t like Crispy Christie.... but if he comes through this... you gotta take a look at him just for his ability to battle the press and win. That is THE MAJOR PROBLEM the repub party has. They can’t EVER out duel the press.
He lost brought his loss on himself. He lost when he pranced hand in hand down the beach with Obama... just days before a very important election.
you gotta take a look at him just for his ability to battle the press and win.
His battling the press is exactly what they want, to keep the issue before the public. Never pick a fight with a guy who owns more ink then you do used to be the axiom.

“The truth: He could have been elected.”
Can you name the last anti-gun Republican was elected POTUS?
There never has been one. G.H.W.Bush doesn’t count because he didn’t trash the NRA until he was running for reelection and was given the boot for that.
Fat ass Christie is big time anti-gun and pro queer marriage. There is no way he could win!
Just another corrupt politician.
Your link is either bad or the story was pulled.
He’s a northeast RINO; LOSER!!!!!
glad to see him out the presidential picture
Like him or not, hes a talented politician. Too bad I don’t trust him to do what is best for the country.
Well, Mr. Fat Lying Jerk, as another FReeper suggested, why don’t you release the bids and the contract for the legitimate traffic study and prove to all your sayers of nay that your are in fact telling the truth about the necessary nature of that study, and it’s results of course.
Shouldn’t be hard to produce those docs, amIright?
