The $750,000 worth of television ads say "House Republicans want to fix the immigration problem."
House Republicans looking to garner support for leadership's immigration-reform principles are about to get a little help from a group with ties to Mark Zuckerberg.
Americans for a Conservative Direction is the GOP arm of pro-immigration reform organization FWD.us, which is backed by the Facebook chief executive. And they will be airing roughly $750,000 worth of television and radio ads across the country, according to a source with knowledge of the ad buy.
The ads, which will air for 10 days on radio and cable television, describe the drafted principles unveiled to the Republican Conference during their retreat as a "conservative solution." Highlighted elements include border security and conducting background checks on those in the United States illegally. The announcer states the proposal is not amnesty. Children are shown while the announcer says the plan offers "a chance at the American Dream for those brought here as children."
"Step by step, House Republicans want to fix the immigration problem, which will strengthen our economy," the ad declares.
The next few weeks will be crucial in the immigration-reform debate, as members of the GOP caucus begin staking out their positions on the principles and as leadership figures out where a bulk of the lawmakers are in terms of support. Additionally, FWD.us is looking to sway opinon on the Hill with a memo attempting to discredit some groups opposed to reform as "anti-immigrant."
I just saw their ad on TV this morning and was so disappointed. They're actually jumping off the cliff.
They say 1. secure borders, 2. criminal background check, 3. pay fines, taxes,
They say "no amnesty" and then they say that children brought by parents are home free.
They don't deal with the aftermath of "Pay Fines, Taxes". I assume since deportation isn't mentioned, that these illegals get some kind of legal status in the US. As one of our FR lawyers, p-Marlowe, pointed out recently, that will be challenged in court, and some justice will say that it's slavery to keep people here just to work and without any opportunity to pursue citizenship.
Step 4: Citizenship by judicial fiat.

Well, based on his little “windfall” profit($3.2 Bil) this week, at least he’s able to put his money to “good” use eh? How come we never hear anything positive about some gazillionaire conservative doing things to fight the radical left wing extremist demokkkrat scumbags? It’s always “evil Koch Bros war on the poor.”
the immigration problem

what immigration problem ???
There is no immigration problem...
Immigrants have no problem immigrating...
there is however a big problem with illegal aliens staying here in the US ...
when are they going to be deported ???
Zuckerburg is a flaming leftist. There is NOTHING conservative about this group. Rush and Hannity will take their money but they do not endorse the Zuckerburg message.
Watch the video.
No way they could say “House Gop” and not have the approval of the House GOP.
This is the same propaganda Rubio was pitching for Suckerberg after the Senate passed its amnesty bill.
The enemy is exposing itself pretty clearly.
Step 1 - Enfore the law.
Step 2 - Repeat step 1 as necessary.
The “problem” exists because for the last 30 years the politicians looked the other way and allowed it to grow.
Imagine if the IRS just stopped auditing rich folks and enforcing any tax law and then a few years down the road we threw our hands up in the air and said, “well... nothing we can do now. That money has moved around so much there’s no way we’ll ever really be able to account for it. Guess we’ll just have to reform our tax laws and legalize it.”
If we stopped enforcing building codes or any contract law. How about we stop enforcing gun laws and let anyone who wants a gun have one no matter if they legally can or not? It’d be nuts and it’d create a complete mess.
The sad part is, whatever Congress passes, Preezy Pajama Boy will gut and change at will.
He'll just ignore Steps 1,2, and 3 and write in Step 4: Register as DemocRATS.
“Zuckerburg is a flaming leftist.”
Absolutely - Zuckerburg is no conservative, and he has no interest in any “conservative direction”.
If he’s funding “Americans for a Conservative Direction”, that group is lying about its name. And if they’re willing to lie about their name, you can be damn sure they’re willing to lie about their message.
They created this mess with the intent on “fixing” it by making the invaders legal Americans that can vote. If the GOP Liberals push this thru its the end of the Republican party on a National scale. All this just so some big money folks can keep labor costs down.
Great job G.O.P. you are presiding over your own funeral.

They’re all traitors and the lackeys of international corporatists
It's what Zuckerberg and his band of narcisstic band want. Want they want is wage slaves, redefined for the 21st century. Even the indentured servants of old got to become citizens when their contracts were fullfilled. Another difference is that the indentured servants were the responsibility of their employers....for food, housing, medical, etc. They were treated poorly, granted, but there was something at the end of the road.
These cheap labor pimps are despicable. They'll destroy the US to keep their profits up. The only answer is to send home all invaders permanently and make it impossible to hire them now or in the future.
Every time you turn around someone is coming out with a new group with the word “conservative” in it. I am so sick of liars.
They will execute a pattern:
1. legalize the illegals who are working jobs being paid underneath the table
2. They will become extremely low wage legal workers driving the cost of wages down
3. The border security will not happen, so new illegals will flood the beneath the table market.
4. All of these will vote socialist.
5. Eventually we will be a nation of serfs owned by a wealthy elite, a new aristocracy.
We agree which is why we should NOT keep them here. They need to go home and apply for a work permit or visa the legal way.
Rubio fell for this trap and ended his dream of the Presidency.
