The former Port Authority official who personally oversaw the lane closings on the George Washington Bridge in the scandal now swirling around Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey said on Friday that the governor knew about the lane closings when they were happening, and that he had the evidence to prove it.
In a letter released by his lawyer, the official, David Wildstein, a high school friend of Mr. Christies who was appointed with the governors blessing at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which controls the bridge, described the order to close the lanes as the Christie administrations order and said evidence exists as well tying Mr. Christie to having knowledge of the lane closures, during the period when the lanes were closed, contrary to what the governor stated publicly in a two-hour press conference three weeks ago.
Mr. Wildstein contests the accuracy of various statements that the governor made about him and he can prove the inaccuracy of some, the letter added.

This whole invented fiasco is a waste of time. The MSM may as well bring up
a whirlwind of drama about when Christy knew the public toilets would
run out of toilet paper.

Christie was never a good candidate. He’s 100% in lockstep with the GOPe. We are better off without him in the race.
To: kristinn
the Christie administrations order does not guarantee that Christie himself knew about it. But if he has evidence that Christie did, let's see it.

There are two standards, two worlds really. Bill Clinton fires ALL of the Federal prosecutors (because they were on to him and his cronies), and that is no big deal. George W. Bush fires seven of them because they are not doing their job, and it is a constitutional crisis. The MSM sees not even the slightest hypocrisy in this.

For once, a candidate whom I really did not want to suck the air out of everything is getting the Dem treatment and it’s fine with me.
He’s truly screwed if he did; this is construable as a felony, and if the Feds are involved, as they are, they may make a big fat meal out him .

Now what dirt can we come up with on Jeb? His last name should be enough to disqualify him.

Well its not like he refused to provide a US Ambassador with security and then refused to send help to prevent the murder of four Americans.
Neither is it like he was selling guns to drug traffickers directly resulting in the deaths of Americans and thousands of Mexicans.
Or using the IRS to persecute innocent Americans for their political beliefs.
