The Montgomery Explosives Ordnance Disposal and base security officials at Maxwell Air Force Base are responding to a report of a suspicious package.
The package, found during a routine inspection, "gave a positive indication for explosives", according to officials.
Officials say the package, discovered around 10 a.m. in the base post office, is about the size of a box of blank checks.

Never mail a package when you have been on the range all day...
Sounds like it may be a box of ammunition that somebody was mailing or having mailed to them.
Or after you’ve been putting fertilizer on the lawn.
Package of frozen burritos?
Package of frozen burritos?
"JUST IN: Maxwell AFB situation is all clear, further testing determined pkg was "neutral" so security cordon around base post office lifted"
“During the incident, the Maxwell Boulevard Gate was closed and traffic was diverted to other gates during the situation.”
After reading that sentence my 10th grade English teacher, Sister Alice, would have a conniption fit.
It was food. Who knows, maybe it was hot chili beans — that could cause gas.
