Tuesday night live on C-SPAN, President Obama outlines his agenda for the coming year when he delivers his fifth State of the Union Address before a Joint Session of Congress.
Leading up to the President's speech, C-SPAN sets the scene from the White House and Capitol Hill with perspectives from Former Speechwriter to President Obama Jon Lovett, Senate Historian Don Ritchie, and Gallup Editor in Chief Frank Newport.
Following the State of the Union, House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) delivers the Republican response. McMorris Rodgers is in her fifth term representing Washingtons Fifth District.
C-SPAN's live coverage concludes with viewer calls as well as reaction from social media. Share your thoughts via phone, Facebook and Twitter using #cspanchat.
Ted Cruz was on with Tapper and it went well after last weeks kerflukkle.
I thought Rand Paul was going to give a speech, not just appear on Fox. What a letdown. And Mike Lee’s speech isn’t even live on TV, just on the computer, live streaming. Another bummer, especially as Mike Lee did an excellent job of summing up the conservative position. And hardly anyone will hear him. Geez. What a loser night. Well, the good news is it is over, and now back to the trenches and hand to hand combat.
Only Luntz could find a Rep that voted for Obama.
She gave Catholic companies a pass on birth control, a stay I think. Why else would she not show up?
If you ever have trouble with Fox, switch to Sky News. They played the entire thing and there was no problem and I have roku where buffering fails sometimes.
It was entirely positive. It was a call to action and a call to move in a positive direction.
1773 to 1789 was a long road. We are at 1773. We must work hard and sacrifice if we are ever to get to 1789.
We must also remember that between those dates, an army of citizen soldiers defeated the most powerful army in the history of the world. We defeated them by gnawing at their heels until they were forced to admit defeat.
It was a long road, but our founding fathers and the citizen army marched barefoot in the snow for 10 years to pull off their victory.
Are we willing to make that trek? Are we willing to sacrifice as they did to save this Republic?
I don't know. I get discouraged. Mike Lee's speech was hopeful. But in the end, it is the foot soldiers that win wars. Our Liberty was won by foot soldiers who had no shoes. Are we willing to follow in their footsteps?
I can’t stand to look or listen. My response to a pathological liar who is otherwise unknown and bent on destroying our Country - ours not his.
Yup, very good.
HA!
Possibly Roberts adopted his children illegally and the kids travelled through multiple continents to get here. Other than that, I have no clue.
I listened to Mike too...he responded well as I knew he would...addressed issues and in an understandable way.
But the chat board was full of Obamas college kids with their foul mouths and degrading statements. Sheesh they come out the wood like maggots!
Has Mrs. Palin made a response yet?
Listening to the Luntz group, and they are all the feely liberal Obama lovers.
They liked his speech, but didn’t like how lackluster he was...how he wasn’t very passionate with it.
I notice no one mentions any of the many many LIES, Obama told during his dispassionate speech.
And on to Obamacare, one guy said: “The promise is great, the execution is miserable.” And others agreed. Jeesh....how pathetic.
Finally, someone speaks about the policy itself of Obamacare and how horrible it is. Not the style, it’s the substance.
Ted Cruz coming up on Meagan Kelly - Fox
Luntz’s panel slaughtered Obama on Health Care.
I can’t find any
Van Hollen is nothing but a walking billboard for Obama policies! He never wavers from the talking points~!
Their Nazi professors had them sign up.
Then there is surely GOP establishment mush heads too.
Future death panel members.
Youtube has removed Mike Lee’s speech because it’s “too long”.
