““Researchers have been able to hack into TVs with ease, allowing them to turn on cameras and microphones, spying on families’ living rooms.””

No chance, my newest TV is 15 years old and we don’t any cable box.

“What is a Zot-Drone?”

That would be a drone that our beloved government would send down to put the ZOT on you for eating Non-approved foods.

Don’t want your TV spying on you? Don’t connect it to the internet?

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if they have managed to connect tv’s to the internet without people having to physically connect them to their computers. If I was in the Big Brother business, thats what I would do.

Now whenever I scan different sites for things I am thinking about buying, I get the exact type things I like already picked out to show me.

Someone needs to put this technology into relatives' hands. That would end me getting useless Christmas and birthday gifts. My relatives don't spy enough on me. My daughters have bought me duplicates of stuff I already own that is in clear sight when they visit (things I only need one of).

“It’s a liberating feeling.”

Yup. “Freedom”’s just another word for “nothin’ left to lose.” (Kristofferson)

Conspicuously absent: Your telephone. Even the old rotary phones were capable of collecting. They just connect and activate the mic. Nowadays a call showing no caller ID and a dead line is a probable tell-tale. If you get calls like this try breaking the circuit, then place a call and hang up. If you get another no-ID callback shortly thereafter consider yourself on a watchlist.
