“Subway will only offer a kids’ menu that mirrors federal standards for school lunches.”
Yeah, we all know how well that worked out.

A dumb corporate move. People are not going out for this find of food. More than half the nation does not like Obama or his wife and don’t want to be reminded of them on a family outing. People don’t like to be frustrated. They will keep their distance from the new Michelle-ordered school lunch kind of food they’re going to pay for, but the kids won’t eat.

Mine too, just like McD’s did when they stopped my ability to CCW. Noticed we had another mass mall shooting, a mall does not allow GUNS owners to carry on their property.

Of all the idiotic corporate moves in the name of political appeasements this one is a whopper. Subway food for the most part is healthy for kids or adults to eat.

This has to be one of the dumbest corporate moves I've seen in a long time.
The ones in the two towns next to me are not that great to start with, this should just about do it for them.
Idiots.

encourage finicky young eaters to eat more food that... grows on trees. Based on my understanding of their beliefs, I can only presume this means the Mooch wants kids to eat money.

Reminds me of the required "social" demands on businesses in Ayn Rand's We the Living, the closest Rand would come to an autobiography and much more concise than Atlas Schrugged.
Maybe Subway's doing this out of a sense of *cough* social responsibility, or perhaps they've been offered - er - opportunities or flatout strongarmed into countermanding business sense.
Whatever it is, the more businesses comply with Administrative ... invitations... the more "social" pressure for others to fall in line without a whimper.

Yep....that healthy diet will really go over well with the teenagers in D. C. Wonder if the taxpayers will be bailing out Subway now.

Agreed. Unfortunately, Subway is my favorite “fast food.”

Stopped eating their sandwiches a long time ago. Their dried out, tasteless bread that smashes down to a half inch was horrible to base a sanwich shop on. Quiznos or better yet Jimmy Johns sandwiches run circles around subway. But, it makes sense for the inferior gubbmint to put their clout behind an inferior product.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Yep, me too. No more Subway.

they lost me when they started using sliced meat that was sliced in a factory somewhere weeks before using it in a sandwich.
In stead of slicing it off a big ole piece as you use it.

Rats. I have been eating there once a week average for years. bye bye It’s sad because these are individual franchises. I like my little store and the people who run it and work there.
