(CNSNews.com) - Although the tea party's influence is "undeniable," it is not inevitable -- and it must be crushed for the good of the nation, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) argued in a long political speech on Thursday.

"They've won elections, stymied Democratic priorities and taken a sledgehammer to programs that are important to tens of millions of Americans," he complained.

Among other recommendations, Schumer suggested an IRS crackdown on funding for tea party groups. "We have to look at electoral reform," he said.

"Our very electoral structure has been rigged to favor tea party candidates in Republican primaries, even when the district or the state may not be that red."

Schumer said "the tea party machine" has a particularly strong influence on Republican primaries, partly because the far right turns out to vote; and partly because of gerrymandering -- "where Republicans have learned to capture state legislatures and then use innovative technology to draw districts where a Democrat could never be elected. -

I have been saying this in my various dicus replies on the net. The 1.6 billion hollow point bullets that are forbidden in war were bought for some reason. I too see concentration camps and genocide. I do not see how any electoral victory can now reverse the tide of communism here.We are past the point of no return. This is my first post here in years and years. :)

So Chuckie Schumer wants to get rid of the Tea Party. Just a few years ago Hillary Clinton went on record saying that "dissent is patriotic". It appears we are dealing with a bunch of hypocrites.

Our culture has refused to take a stand against wickedness and evil being institutionalized. What makes you believe this same culture will take a stand against tyranny? Tyranny is the bastard son of a sinful culture and people gone astray from God to follow their own lusts.

Most have surrendered our national morality via apathy or indifference to agendas that gave birth to this tyranny.

There isn't a military on the face of the earth that can defeat a home grown, armed insurgency, tens of millions strong, as long as that insurgency has the willingness to stand and fight.

The only willingness I see out there is the one that complies with "laws" and "orders".

Unless and until the churches and this people turn to God first - any hope we have in being victorious over this domestic enemy is a hope built on a foundation of sand.

Before the War of Independence, the Colonists recognized they suffered a tyrant because of their sins and the work was on for national revival and repentance.

But there are no Jonathan Mayhews, Jonathan Edwards or George Whitefields now. Today we have Rick Warrens, Benny Hinns and Joel Osteens who preach the prosperity gospel, 'tolerance' and how not to judge wickedness instead of the message of national repentance.

God does not often save His People from the consequences of their sins.

We haven't begun to even acknowledge them yet. But despite all this - the rhetoric coming from the MarxoFascists is one that will lead to Gulags and Genocide unless and until this people turn en masse in repentance.

History is pretty clear about the direction we are going, and I do not see a deviation from that path we seem to be steamrolling down.

If this people need smooth and easy words to assuage the hard truth of where we now find ourselves - then they will in no wise be able to resist this enemy now ruling us for they will refuse to hear the truth that could save them.

There you go again, putting words in my mouth. I told you the first time, I'm not talking about preaching skittles and rainbows. I'm talking about words that rally our people to find their courage. Words that inspire them to stand for all that this nation was founded upon, and to resist the burgeoning tyranny in front of us.

God's people did not like Jeremiah and those who were warning them to repent either. In fact, the people they were trying to save from Judgment killed them for the words of truth those people refused to hear.

In the 1760's this people were willing to hear the truth that they suffered tyranny because of their sins and they repented of themselves and thus were forged through suffering to be an instrument to retain liberty from tyrants.

I see nothing of the sort in this culture. Only the castigation of those trying to wake up a spiritually lukewarm people.

I believe in God and His Righteousness, not in people. If I judge the fruits in just the latest elections, I have to conclude that the majority WANT what we are witnessing and about to suffer.

No, freedom has never come easy, but the fight for freedom is far easier than falling into the comforting arms of tyranny.

Think.....what's harder to endure.....the realization that you've relinquished everything you've ever prized, or realizing that you've given the last full measure of honor to protect and defend all that's worth living for?
