Newsmax IRS Sets Sights on Secret Hollywood Conservative Group Thursday, January 23, 2014 09:28 AM
By: Drew MacKenzie
A conservative group in Hollywood, shrouded in secrecy for fear of a backlash from powerful movie industry liberals, is being investigated by the Internal Revenue Service after applying for tax-exempt status.
Friends of Abe has attempted to stay under the radar and is fiercely determined to protect the identity of its 1,500 members, The New York Times reports.
But now the group has come under the scrutiny of the IRS after the federal agency requested information about its meetings with politicians including 2012 vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan, former Michigan Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, and 2012 presidential hopeful Hermain Cain, according to anonymous sources who have inside knowledge of the probe.
The report says the IRS has been investigating Friends of Abe named after Abraham Lincoln for two years and has had access to its security-protected website containing all the members' names.

Rather, the seeds of a new and second revolt being planted which will in dull time bear fruit.
...just curious, are you seriously advocating armed revolt against the federal government...?
...do you not know how that will have to end...?
“With the political targeting will come prosecution and imprisonment”
Worse. Remember, when Obama was a just a citizen, his buddy held a gathering at his house and convinced Barak to run for his first political office. Who was that buddy? Bill Ayers, founder of the group of marxist that was so willing to kill their opponents (hard core capitalists) that they discussed the issue in front of an FBI informant!

“....And um, they felt that this counter revolution could best be guarded against by creating and establishing reeducation centers in the Southwest, ah, where we would take all the people who needed to be reeducated into the new way of thinking and teach them how things were going to be.”
Grathwohl continued on with “I asked ‘Well what is going to happen to those people that we can’t reeducate - that are die hard capitalist?’ And the reply was that they’d have to be eliminated. And when I pursued this further they estimated they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these reeducation centers. And when I say eliminate I mean kill . . . 25 million people.”
Grathwohl expressed shock that as he sat in a room hearing these words he was with 25 people with graduate degrees from Columbia and other institutions, and “hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people, and they were dead serious.”
“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security”
It is our DUTY to throw off this federal monster.
The response from the IRS?
Here’s where I’m ignorant. If you have an organization called “The Friends of Bunnys in East Overshoe”, and you get $1000 in donations, but you can prove you spent $1000 to benefit the bunnys in East Overshoe, do you pay tax on $1000?
There’s actually an Animal Emergency Plan for East Overshoe County.

LOL... the internet.
In 1964, the handsome, virile star, Anthony Eisley, emceed a "Project Prayer" rally attended by 2,500 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.
Eisley played Tracey Steele on the "Hawaiian Eye" series, and appeared 17 times on the eight-year run of ABC's The F.B.I., with Efrem Zimbalist, Jr (another Hollywood conservative).
Eisley was later replaced on Hawaiian Eye by Hollywood icon Troy Donahue (a conservative---and practicing Catholic). Eisley also appeared three times on CBS's Perry Mason during its final three seasons.
The Hollywood gathering sought to flood the United State Congress with letters in support of school prayer, following two decisions in 1962 and 1963 of the United States Supreme Court which struck down the practice as in conflict with the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.
Eisley declared that the nation was facing in 1964 "an ideological crisis. Movie stars and the stars of the entertainment world will tell you what you can do about it. Everything will be from the heart."
Eisley was joined at the event by Walter Brennan, on whose series The Real McCoys he had once been a guest star, Rhonda Fleming, Lloyd Nolan, Dale Evans, Pat Boone, and Gloria Swanson.
Eisely added that John Wayne, Ronald W. Reagan, Roy Rogers, Mary Pickford, Jane Russell, Ginger Rogers, and Pat Buttram would also have attended the rally had their schedules not been in conflict.
Syndicated columnist Drew Pearson claimed in his "Washington Merry-Go-Round" column that Project Prayer had "backstage ties" to the anti-Communist John Birch Society. Pearson noted that the principal author of the prayer decisions, Chief Justice Earl Warren, was a Republican former governor of California and that most mainline denominations endorsed the court's restrictive rulings.
Sylvia Sydney---staunch Republican and conservative.
Memorable co-starring w/ George Raft.
Later appeared in one of the "Omen" sequels.
Film legend Ginger Rogers was another Hollywood conservative and lifelong Republican and appeared in the Nixon-Lodge Bumper Sticker Modorcade in Los Angeles in 1960.
Her biographers all considered Rogers to have been Fred Astaire's finest dance partner, principally because of her ability to combine dancing skills, natural beauty, and exceptional abilities as a dramatic actress and comedienne, thus truly complementing Astaire, a peerless dancer who sometimes struggled as an actor and was not considered classically handsome. The resulting song and dance partnership enjoyed a unique credibility in the eyes of audiences.
Stunning mega-star, Loretta Young was a lifelong Republican. In 1952 she appeared in radio, print, and magazine ads in support of Dwight D. Eisenhower and was in attendance at his inauguration along with Anita Louise, Louella Parsons, Jane Russell, Dick Powell, June Allyson, and comic Lou Costello, among others.
In both 1968 and 1981 she was a vocal supporter of Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan. She was also an active member of the Hollywood Republican Committee with close friend Irene Dunne as well as Ginger Rogers, William Holden, George Murphy, Fred Astaire, and John Wayne.
Superstar director Leo McCarey was a devout Roman Catholic and deeply concerned with social issues. He was considered the most handsome director in Hollywood---a Cary Grant look-alike.
During the 1940s, McCarey's work became more serious and his politics more conservative. In 1944 he directed Going My Way, a story about an enterprising priest, the youthful Father Chuck O'Malley, played by Bing Crosby, for which McCarey won his second Best Director Oscar.
McCarey's share in the profits of this smash hit gave him the highest reported income in the U.S. for the year 1944, and its follow-up, The Bells of St. Mary's (1945), which was made by McCarey's own production company, was similarly successful.
Going My Way also produced the fanciful hit song sung by Bing, "Would you like to swing on a star."
Gloria Swanson 1922
Swanson's most celebrated role--was as faded silent star Norma Desmond--1950. In 1980 Gloria Swanson chaired the New York chapter of "Seniors for Reagan-Bush". In 1964, Swanson spoke at the "Project Prayer" rally attended by 2,500 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Swanson declared, "Under God we became the freest, strongest, wealthiest nation on earth, Should we change that?"
The gathering, which was hosted by Anthony Eisley, a star of ABC's Hawaiian Eye series, sought to flood the United States Congress with letters in support of school prayer, following two decisions in 1962 and 1963 of the United States Supreme Court which struck down the practice as in conflict with the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.
Joining Swanson and Eisley at the Project Prayer rally were Walter Brennan, Lloyd Nolan, Rhonda Fleming, Pat Boone, and Dale Evans.
Both Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were Republicans. Comic star ZaSu Pitts was a staunch Republican---she mentored starlet Nancy Davis (Reagan).
John Payne--memorable as Santa's attorney in the Christimas perennial. "Miracle on 34th Street"----was a staunch Republican and in October 1960 he was among conservative notables who drove in the LA Nixon-Lodge Bumper Sticker Motorcade.
Teen idol singer Connie Francis appeared at GW Bush presidential campaign rallies.
...and automatically give the liberal 501C3 groups a leg up on you...
Do you often start chess games by giving the other team half your pieces?

Rather more and more people are waking up to the reality of increasing government controls via the lost of health insurance plans, Obamacare taking over one seventh of the economy, etc and other out-of-control government issues.
It is about taking back the country through standing up to freedom principles.
Hollywood Conservatives (Yes, They Do Exist!)
Written on Monday, April 25, 2011 by Ann-Marie Murrell
The newest closet for celebrities to come out of is definitely Conservatism. Just like in the McCarthy days, once youve been labeled a Conservative (or Lord forbid, a Christian) you are not only ridiculed but also somewhat blacklisted in Hollywood.
But slowly, many celebrities are coming out of that closet and not only declaring their love for America, but also their Conservative-based values. Im personally attending a Hollywood Congress of Republicans meeting in which Scott Baio is the guest speaker. Yep, Chachi himself is a hard-core Republican who apparently spends lots of time Twittering anti-Obamaisms.
Theres even an underground group of Conservatives led and organized by actor Gary Sinise called Friends of Abe (after Abraham Lincoln). They quietly meet in restaurants and private homesmuch like Tea Party groups, only with really famous attendees. They have to keep their meetings on the down-low for fear of retaliation from Hollywood liberals, so I imagine theyre more like Conservatives Anonymous than anything else.

The First Amendment gives all of us freedom of speech, right? Well, if youre employed by the hard-core Liberal Leftists that run the Hollywood entertainment machine, exercising your free-speech rights in the opposite direction of those that pay your salary can put your career on ice. The help aid those of a conservative mindset you would like to have an outlet for meeting with like minds to discuss their political persuasions, actor Gary Sinise had formed what would have to be called a support group Friends of Abe. From yesterdays Washington Times:

Also just predicting what could happen down the road which gives me cause for concern because of how badly divided this country is.
Hollywood Conservatives. There are More Than you Think
By Editor-in-Chief on April 28, 2011
The newest closet for celebrities to come out of is definitely Conservatism. Just like in the McCarthy days, once youve been labeled a Conservative (or Lord forbid, a Christian) you are not only ridiculed but also somewhat blacklisted in Hollywood. We decided to focus on some of these amazing Hollywood Conservatives. We think some of the names on this list will surprise you.
Slowly, many celebrities are coming out of that closet and not only declaring their love for America, but also their Conservative-based values. Unfortunately, the dean of Hollywood conservatives, Charlton Heston is no longer with us, neither is Charles Bronson.
Theres even an underground group of Conservatives led and organized by actor Gary Sinise (CSI NY) called Friends of Abe (after Abraham Lincoln). They quietly meet in restaurants and private homesmuch like Tea Party groups, only with really famous attendees. They have to keep their meetings on the down-low for fear of retaliation from Hollywood liberals, so I imagine theyre more like Conservatives Anonymous than anything else.
