The Kalashnikov Group has signed an exclusive contract with the Russian Weapon Company (RWC) to supply up to 200,000 guns to North America annually. It should boost sales in the worlds biggest civil weapons markets, while sales in Russia are shrinking.
According to the five-year agreement, the RWC Group which was appointed Kalashnikovs exclusive US importer back in 2012, will be selling between 80,000 and 200,000 Russian hunting carbines, sporting rifles and shotguns under the Izhmash and Baikal brands, according to Kalashnikov's Elena Filatova.
The exclusive deal with RWC will ensure Kalashnikov has consistent sales of sports and hunting weapons in North America. From this cooperation, we expect an increase our share of the civil weapons market, commented Deputy Director General for sales and marketing of the Kalashnikov Group Pavel Kolegov.
Russias largest producer of firearms, the Kalashnikov Group of companies unites the largest Russian producers of small arms Izhmash and Izhevsk. More companies are set to join the concern in the future.

**I have a Norinco Type 56S***
I do too. I traded for it at a gun show, bought 100 rounds of ammo, took it home and found it wasn’t .30 RS but .223 Rem.
So I had to get a SKS to use up the .30 RS.
Odd. I’ve never seen one in .223 Remington. Mine is 7.62X39mm.
I agree.

Um... Good!
Hopefully, the price will come back down and I can add a couple of my collection.
56-4 was chambered in 5.56x45 NATO. 1:12 barrel.
You don’t know Americans very well do you? lol
Prices are plenty high here in the States, Bro. I’m not sure this projected increase in supply will be enough to bring prices down much. I sure hope so!
I wasn’t familiar with the RPK so I looked it up. Of course I found Youtube vids of them, semi-autos included, and, yes, it would be nice to see more those on the market.
Hmm..Saiga shotty options just opened up..
AFAIK, Vepr rifles and shotguns by Molot company are based on RPK. It 8s slightly more expensive than Saiga.
An AK costs $950.00 ( RWC’s suggested retail price).
Their semi auto SG is cool though. But I can buy a Benelli semi auto for the same price.
You are right, no bargains there.
