The Palestinian Authority has officially apologized to the Czech Republic over weapons that were recently discovered in the Palestinian mission in Prague.
Czech authorities discovered 12 weapons and explosives inside the mission after a blast killed Palestinian ambassador Jamal al-Jamal earlier this month.
The PA Foreign Ministry and Czech police said at the time the explosion occurred when Jamal opened an old safe.
The Palestinian Maan news agency said the PA Foreign Ministry sent a letter of apology to the Czech government concerning the weapons and explosives that were found inside the mission compound.
The agency said the PA ministry apologized for not informing the Czech authorities about the existence of the weapons.
The PA ministry expressed hope the discovery would not impact Palestinian-Czech relations.
The PA leadership affirms its respect for the Czech government and people...
Tayseer Jaradat, a senior official with the PA Foreign Ministry, told the agency that the mission in Prague did not notify the Czech authorities about the existence of the weapons because they were being held inside old bags and the alternation of Palestinian ambassadors.
Jaradat said the weapons found inside the mission were old and had been presented to Palestinian diplomats as gifts.

“I swear before Allah, I have no idea how those things got there...”
Expel the lot of them and raze their sham “embassy” to the ground.
Allow snakes in the garden, expect to get bitten.
Safe in the embassy basement blows up after you are pretending to be a normal nation, and not just terrorists.
Awkward,,,
- police siren -
Okay, pull the embassy over.
- officer and PA Mission staff member talk -
Officer: Let me see your license and registration
PA Staff: Ah officer, I’m a diplomat.
Officer: I couldn’t help but notice you have weapons on the floor in the back here.
PA Staff: Ah officer, this is a diplomatic car. It doesn’t matter what’s on the floor.
Officer: Could you please step out of the Embassy.
PA Staff: I will officer, but you don’t have a right to demand it.
Officer: Look, I’m going to treat you courteously as long as you comply.
PA Staff: I don’t know how those got there. I’ve never seen them before. They’re not mine.
Officer: I don’t write the laws. I just enforce them. You are not allowed to have those weapons. Please lean against the wall and put your hands behind your back.
PA Staff: You must be an Israeli Jew.
Officer: No..., but having seen what you’re like, I’m thinking I’d rather have them in this building than you.

LOL. That was worth reading twice.
In post seven, I replaced the word car, which should never have appeared.
Thanks for the note. :’)

Full of bitter clingers and secessionists;-)
PA stands for Palistinian Authority, or is Penn. a joke?

You don’t remember Emily or too young?
Definitely not too young, maybe too old. What decade(s) was she active?
In the 1970s I was busy raising two children, working part or full time and dealing with a problem husband. I was not watching Saturday Night Live or much else.
