I’m not Cathloic I’m a practicing capitalist. I go to church every day! (and the bank twice a week)
Excellent essay, Bray. The very essence of "working hard" vs, "working smart."
Hey Rock you are having potato stew with that recipe! Substitute Fla. Lobster for the potatoes and you are there buddy.
Great post. Its not who votes or casts the vote but who counts them.
Fractures of any C1-C3 vertebrae (bones) typically result in either death at the scene due to spinal cord injury (disrupting innervation of the diaphragm, thus inability to breathe), or no deficits at all due to no spinal cord injury. Mr. Gates did not incur spinal cord injury from the vertebral bone fracture.
One notable mortality exception to a high level cervical injury was actor Christopher Reeve. He suffered C1-2 level fractures with severe spinal cord injury. He survived the injury due to a crowd of people present at the time he fell off his horse. Spectators were able to establish and maintain emergency resuscitation until he was placed on a ventilator machine--for the rest of his life.

Did you know about this one?
It all depends on how you are admitted in the hospital, under observation of as in in patient, as to whether or not medicare pays or not.I had no idea.

I don't have very high hopes for changing perspectives, especially in the state of Maryland, but I try to speak up gently when challenged by lefties. I try to say something that relates more to the everyday life we both experience, rather than relate to something that they take as a given: "Republicans are mean." "Pro-life people hate women/blacks/the poor, etc."
Example: "How is you health insurance? Safe? Oh, that's good news. Obama has really hurt a lot of people with his plans, hasn't he!"
Here is a suggestion:
In the background the film of the burning Benghazi Annex. Superimposed the faces of the the four murdered Americans. In the background a phone rings and rings and rings. Then a voice asking, “Do you want a President who did not pick-up the 3 AM phone call when she could have?”
Feel free to improve upon.
There is no point arguing with the hardcore cultists, they will never change since it is their religion. Their god is gummit and no amount of time will change their faith in it. Better to talk with those who have doubts in the cult.
Agree with Kaepernick, he is my least favorite 49 of all time.
... Gates said he tripped on a rug... remember Vince Foster?
While we are at it, remember ex-CIA Director William E. Colby? His strange death was very suspicious as well.
Do you know where your President is at 3 am? Who he is with and what he is doing? We don't either!
As you know, real life is even odder than that. Where was he from after his short 5:15PM meeting with Panetta and Dempsey until after midnight while the battle raged on and on? Then there was the time period after breakfast the next morning when he finally steps out into microphone just before he boards his flight to Las Vegas?
Perhaps we could superimpose a picture of a time-delayed alarm clock with the hands swinging through and ringing for hours, all with the burning compound building and hundreds of Al Qaida engaged in firefights with the survivors in the background complete with some mortar round explosions? Maybe we could even throw in some quick flash pictures of the four dead Americans at the requisite time points in the panorama?
Even a caveman could easily write an effective political add with this wealth of material. Which, of course, means the GOP-e will probably ignore it and instead tout their success on getting "badly needed immigration reform" passed.
Oh my goodness. Mashed potatoes and salt pork!
I’ll think about it.
Had the oyster stew for lunch...oh my goodness those oysters were sooooo good. They positively melted in my mouth.
You do know they were purchased at the super seafood section, it they weren’t in a tin or anything.
They were good....got two servings out of it plus one for AB.
Eight dollars for that little container but the juice made the milk take like oysters and the oyster were, as I said, melt in your mouth.
If an oyster can melt in one’s mouth.
Medicare will either deny payment to the hospital for an “inappropriate” inpatient admission (determined by diagnosis) that will require rehab, or deny rehab services if the hospital assigns “outpatient” status. Note Medicare refused to be interviewed for the NBC story. Either way, at one end or the other, the patient is stuck with a fat health care tab.
I am all good with this Rock L but go with fresh and organic veggies and herbs , you can buy the Atlantic clam juice in a mini old coke like bottle but tx for the recipe! Awesome! I grow my own herbs and dry them of these long cold winters.
PS my fish guy sells his own clam juice.. even bettah!
Judge Jeanine was freaking awesome last night that is a MUST WATCH!!
try using salt pork in the Water when you steam the clams, I love bacon but this is less overwhelming, then save the juice and give the cooked salt pork to a wagging tail friend in small doses!
