In 2009, retiring Arkansas Rep. Marion Berry presciently warned that ObamaCare was setting up Democrats for a huge 2010 midterm defeat; just as HillaryCare led to Democrat loss of 54 House seats in 1994.
Obama scoffed at such concerns; he told Berry, Well, the big difference here is youve got me.
Republicans went on to win 63 House seats and six Senate seats.....the largest swing to Repubs in the House since 1938. So Oama was right---the difference was him.
Liberals are still convinced their vision is what America wants and needs and that Obama is the right man to give it to us. Assuming Republicans dont immolate themselves always a possibility that vision will receive yet another massive rebuke in November.
The question will be whether liberals question the soundness of their faith or that the fault lies with the false prophet who failed to deliver them to the promised land.

"Those Democrats leering over my shoulder owe me bigtime. This
healthcare bill insures we have a permanent Democratic majority."
"All except those Tea Party types, swallowed hook, line and sinker my promises that they could":
(1) keep their existing health plans,
(2) keep their own doctors that they like,
(3) keep their 25-year-olds on the family health plan,
(4) never be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition,
(5) sign up instantly on my tech-savvy government Web site,
(6) buy insurance only after becoming seriously ill."
(7) save $2,500 in annual premiums in the bargain....
(8) All without any new taxes.
"Them sonovagun Tea Partiers will rue the day they criticized my wonderful bill."
If it’s not a 30 seat pickup in the senate, the elections were stolen and all bets are off.
And continued brilliant moves by the GOP like screwing the military on their pensions and pushing for Amnesty might just save the day for the Rats.
It is Obama's Law - he has already shown he will change it as he sees fit in the interest of political expediency.
By the time the elections come about in November, Bonehead will have the GOP on the kamakazi mission of changing rather than removing O care; Barry will be off the hook, and the GOP will have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. The argument from Bonehead will be we did what we could to get rid of it but it is now too entrenched to remove it entirely so we will have to adjust. He will do this because the Chamber of Commerce loves this bill, along with amnesty, because they only care about their bottom line...push health care costs off to the government and we win is the CofC approach. That and we want a bunch of cheap labor is the CofC mission for amnesty too. We the serfs who vote have no say in these matters.
Considering the Rats only hold 20 of the 34 seats up for election that will be quite a trick...
It’s interesting that Democrats seem to be running from Obamacare while Republicans are moving closer to living with it.
I have a couple beers with an acquaintance of mine once or twice a week at a local bar. He’s a small business owner like me.
For months now, we’ve been telling patrons and the wait staff that Obamacare was a bad thing for them. Many of the staff are young, and in the beginning we could tell they weren’t listening, I’m sure most of them voted for Obama in ‘12.
As the rollout has now commenced, we sense a great deal of embarrassment and anger. And these are Obama voters. We’ve warned them with specifics as to what would happen, every step of the way, and our predictions have been borne out.
They all began to ask our advice as to what they could do. Most of them will just pay the fine this year and wait for the whole thing to blow up. And blow up it will.
Pride goeth before the fall. I wish the fall would come sooner, though.
Desperate Dems are frantic---they are baiting Pubbies like crazy---hoping to get Pubs to "overreach." Demorats hope to relive the midterm when Pubbies lost ground......the midterm after Clinton got impeached.
Pubbies were incensed that Billy got lewinskied in the Oval Office. Unbelievably, that was seen as "overreaching"---so Pubbies lost ground at midterms.
Recall that the DNC recently sent out a frantic letter---hoping to turn Boobamba into a "victim of impeachment."
Dems are in full makeup and costume----their Kabuki Theatre act will continue now til Nov.
Obama in Kabuki whiteface makeup will be good for a laugh.
Like the Bates Hotel, those gullible enough to put their information into the ObamaCare website find they cannot cancel their “enrollment” and must pay for this really substandard plan, even when they can’t find doctors in their area who can accept them as patients.
Talk about a criminal “bait and switch” enterprise...but the government won’t file RICO charges against itself, of course.
Yoo hoo, Nancy you forgot "Obamacare"---the signature legislation of your president----how come you Dems forget that, Nance? Huh?
=================================================
Maybe this is why Dems wont run on Obamacare?
As far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature plan that was ultimately enacted (by an historic straight Democrat party- line vote) into the "Affordable Care Act :
OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if youve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All Im going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. Youll still have choice of doctor.
Repeated over and over ---- with the promise that every American family would be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.
LOCK-STEPPING PARTY LOYALTY NOT SEEN SINCE 1940's ERA EUROPE Obama And The Dumbos marching in lockstep. The persistent Dumbocrat drumbeat ---- in obeisance to Obama ---- kept ringing reassuringly in our ears: "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan."
Oh, there will be fraud on a massive scale, perhaps on scale with the presidential years,
but it probably won’t be enough to save the Dems’ majority.
However, since Obama cannot be held accountable for abuse of executive power, he’ll just rule by executive order, and Congress will just wring their hands and do nothing.
O/Care's got free ambulance service too. (Pic courtesy of clearcarbon.)
Sen Harry Reid, 74, recently said that enrolling in O/Care costs him about $4,500 more than before. But Harry says that's OK b/c the increase is "age-related.
(Sniffle) "Tolerant and compassionate" Obama knows that the most expensive h/care is delivered the last three years of life...so oldsters HAVE to pay more (sob).
Heck, socking Harry w/ a massive increase could even save money. For sure, decrepit Sen Harry will necessitate expensive medical care for diseases of old age including the ones he's being treated for now--- senility, Alzheimer's, dementia, arthritis, osteoarthritis, heart problems, heart attacks, stroke, kidney failure, prostate enlargement, osteoporosis (brittle bones)....etc.
Course, just in case ol' Harry hangs in there, Obamacare's I-PAB kicks in to ration medical care when stubborn old buzzards like Harry insist on getting more healthcare than his lousy $4500 per month entitles him to.
=====================================
Harry's dam lucky he represents Nevada. If he represented Alaska, the cheapest way to off him would be to park him on an ice floe w/ the rest of the older, sick Eskimos----floating out into the frigid Arctic Ocean wearing a sealskin coat, bearskin shorts, and a pair of mukluks.
The 2012 election was swayed by the lawlwss tyrants via the IRS. They no longer screw around with tampering with votes. The set the whole, full force, of the government to harass and destroy the opposition.
That must not be allowed to continue.
"Hi there. Wanna go down the fruit cellar with me? Say hello to Mother."
He should be on Medicare Advantage. He gets outstanding care from a host of providers at almost no cost
I don’t see how he can even get any other coverage then Medicare
