We ripped on bloated Doomsday Prepper Tyler Smith in November for his shameless plan to loot his neighbors at gunpoint in the event of a disaster. He is the antithesis of real preppers, who tend to be self-sufficient people intent on helping themselves and others in the event the worst comes to pass.
It was obvious during the cringe-worthy episode that Smith possessed no more than a room temperature IQ, but asserting that he was even that smart turns out to have been far too generous:
Smith was prominently featured in a segment that aired in November 2013. On the show, he is seen firing several rifles to test his home made body armor, claiming it is superior to professionally made bullet resistant vests. “It’s going to be light weight and stronger that anything you can buy in the store,” Smith said on the show.
He also bragged for the camera about his plans to raid and loot other doomsday preppers’ supplies when the end times came. “All your shiny AR’s your high powered .308 rifles, your 50,000 rounds of ammo are all going to be ours”, Smith warned.
Pierce county investigators say it was those claims, and Smith’s brazen use of firearms on camera that landed him back in jail. “What led us to this guy was himself. He put himself on TV and in newspaper articles and he did things that scared the neighbor,” said Troyer.
Smith is a level one sex offender following his conviction in King county in 2009, but he has not registered with law enforcement since his move to Pierce county. Troyer said he could face an additional charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
When you consider how much the nice folks at the cable network hate preppers, I’m not surprised in the least they would showcase the worst of the dirtbags.
It’s interesting not only _that_ the left hates preppers, but _why_ they hate preppers.
Sheeperals, at least, have a sort of eschatology that involves everyone “being in the same boat”. It’s a higher value for them that everyone is equally miserable and dependent,
and those that are attempting to NOT be in that boat are really despised as “messing up the u/dystopia”.

The article doesn’t say exactly what the weapons charge is, so I clicked into one of the links there. He’s a felon handling a gun.

Correct. They hate preppers because they are a group that won’t be easily controlled after they crash the rest of the country.

They were too kind in not calling him what he should be ‘The Type Who Is First To Die-By-Prepper’. He’s an armed looter, that’s all. Either that or an actor playing a part for his hour of fame.

Level 1 sex offenders present the lowest risk for re-offense to the community at large.
These individuals normally have not exhibited predatory type characteristics
Most have successfully participated or are participating in approved sex offender treatment programs.
Many are first time offenders.
You may call law enforcement to ask about a specific individual if you suspect they might be a sex offender, but the law does not mandate community notification.
While this sounds pretty bad in the end if your talking the Apocalypse you take from they who have....it would be truly the survival of the fittest. What will you do if faced with starvation.....it's pretty scary to comprehend!!!
