Slow commute this morning, fast on the way home. Yesterday's commutes were horrendous. After my 6:15 Dr's appointment I was on the road until 9:00 before I hit the office.

All is well in Buffalo. Temp back down today but after a
couple days in the 40’s all the snow is gone again. Been a
very weird winter. Bitter cold to almost spring like.

Ok...what in the world am I seeing here?

Oh, it's because they don't say that in the US. It's always "Happy Holidays" with them. But here in Australia the telly always closes shows with "Merry Christmas" they also say "Happy Easter" as well.
As for the lever thing. Once on a check flight I said "Hey, what's this lever do?" and I pulled it (knowing full well what it did - increased the degree of flaps) just to see what my check pilot would do or say. We had a time we did. LOL
