Secretary Kerry: U.S. deeply concerned by Nigerias enactment of the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act
Deep Concern with Nigerias Enactment of the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act
Press Statement
John Kerry Secretary of State Washington, DC
January 13, 2014
The United States is deeply concerned by Nigerias enactment of the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act.
Beyond even prohibiting same sex marriage, this law dangerously restricts freedom of assembly, association, and expression for all Nigerians.
Moreover, it is inconsistent with Nigerias international legal obligations and undermines the democratic reforms and human rights protections enshrined in its 1999 Constitution.
People everywhere deserve to live in freedom and equality. No one should face violence or discrimination for who they are or who they love.
We join with those in Nigeria who appeal for the protection of their fellow citizens fundamental freedoms and universal human rights.
Were John Edwards’ words the same Scripture Tom Daschle spoke?
The arrogance of these Godless people is something else.
I agree with you about the book being scary and beautiful. The perfection of God’s word and His plan will take your breath away.
Kerry would probably fall for that.
What annoys me to all get-out is the lack of concern for women’s rights in Muslim countries. You can execute, deny health care to, force into underage marriage, deny the right to drive, show your wrists, hair or ankles (beatings for non-compliance of this), but Kerry is outraged that gays can’t marry! Oh puh-lease. I’ll take these clowns seriously when their hypocrisy ends (which will be never!).

“The United States is deeply concerned by Nigerias enactment of the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act.”
And liberals just cannot figure out why the Muzzie fundamentalists want to kill us all?
I know why Kerry is concerned about Nigeria’s prohibition on same sex marriages. If enacted, it would keep Kerry’s wife from visiting with him there.
Sometimes the simplest answer is the correct one.
Yes, and it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. It confirms the feeling I’ve had for several years that this country will never see a return to the great country we once were. I hope I am wrong but the longer it goes on and the deeper things (like abortion and gay marriage) become entrenched, there are fewer signs of hope left that we will turn from the evil we embrace.
Your reaction to the book and to our condition as a country are not out of line. Not out of line at all. I would not be surprised if we get slapped down again s o o n.

The fact is that its all just bunk. The people are not at all concerned but the government invests a lot in selling the gay life style.Just how much legitimacy can sodomy shit packing actually take from Washington? Well Nigeria says that pit is not bottomless.
People are tired of sexual politics, they just need to move on.
“someone is inviting wrath and judgement upon this country”
We are at a wretched...and precarious...state of affairs when a dirt-poor nation, not that far removed from mud huts and bongo-pounding, has the sense to refuse to allow a handful of perverts to plant dynamite in the pillars of its society.
Even a single page of America’s ‘second-rate’ accomplishments would dwarf anything Nigeria has ever done. We are not a superpower; we are the world’s first HYPERPOWER. If Nigeria were to collapse tomorrow, the newspapers could recycle ‘headlines’ from 50 years ago. Should we fall, however, **a fraction of our obsolete weaponry** could trigger events that sent the planet into a radioactive Stone Age.
Polygamy and bestiality anyone?
What’s wrong, Lurch? Were you planning on ditching TaRAYzah and marrying a Nigerian fag?
Yeah, right, Sen. Heinz.
We're "concerned" that the African Anglicans are showing more character in their little pinkies than the entire Episcopal establishment that former Pres. Bush (41) and his family adhere to, are showing in their entire ecclesiastical and mystical bodies.
We're "concerned" that the world isn't yet the cesspit of Babylonian amorality that it once was in the time before Abraham.
We're "concerned". Yeah, right.
