Let us hope that they do not tamper with the perfection of the products.

Jim Beam — Because they have a hard time pronouncing Goldschlager...maybe.

Don’t know either way, but I know the Japanese love their bourbon.

It’s getting harder and harder to ‘buy American’.

The Japanese have a good history of respecting alcohol so there’s hope it’ll do well.

Red label Maker’s Mark over spring water ice cubes ... if you like the flavor of bourbon, it cannot be beaten. It is the second greatest export from Kentucky ... I dated the best export.

For a relaxing time, it's Suntory time.

I had some neat a few weeks ago, and I must say, it's given me a much better opinion of Bourbon. Scotch, however, is still my favorite.

Excellent response Red Badger!

My father(RIP) loved his Jim Beam and had a drink every day as long as I can remember. He even carried small Jim Beam bottles in his medicine bag and would have happy hour in his hospital bed

Sad. Jim Beam isn’t far from here. A serious part of the local economy.

But I drink Elisha Craig 13 year. Heaven Hill is America’s largest family-owned and operated distillery. Come to Kentucky take the tour. There is nothing like the smell of the inside of a rick house.

Pour a little Jim Beam on some raw fish. I call it “Jushi”.

And this is why they did that “reduced alcohol” publicity stunt last year.

I’ll give the Red Label a try. I have long been a bourbon and water man, but I recently discovered and have come to prefer Bushmill’s 16 year old single malt, a triple distilled Irish whisky of exceptional smoothness and lightness.

I live fairly close to the Makers Mark distillery. November of 2012 they raised their tour price from free to $7. :-(

There was a time when when Suntory might have done an NYSE listing. But since the “reforms” from a decade ago, large foreign companies have made a point of delisting their stocks from US exchanges, making it difficult for domestic retail investors to buy their stock. From what I can tell, Suntory is really well-run, but the pink sheet spreads are a little rich for me.

Same here. Interestingly, a LOT of scotch is aged in bourbon barrels since the bourbon barrels can only be used once. You’re getting a bit of that bourbon in your scotch, probably. ;-)
