“Hunter” was a fun show. I just requested a couple of disks from Netflix.

I followed Fred Dryer as a L.A. Rams fan in the 70s. He was GREAT! He has an interesting record, tat may be tied, but never passed ... TWO unassisted safeties in one game against the Green Bay Packers.

The complete rundown of Dryer's terrific comments plus a nice photo of him can be found at the link. Worth reading. It sums up what we at FR have been saying for years about the GOP establishment.
It almost sounds like Fred is a Freeper!

GOPelites see the Tea Party, rather than the Democrats, as more of a threat to their comfy seats. They much prefer the status quo, because they still get their turn at the DC money troughs, even when they are the minority.

He's correct. Wagering the number of people who've dropped their republican affiliation for independent affiliation is quite substantial.
The political compass is pointing toward Tea Party and Conservatives, both of whom got them elected candidates in 2010. They'll be voting out RINOs in 2014, 2015, and 2016 - count on it GOP and RNC. Begin using the Ted Cruz model or become irrelevant.

He said the Tea Party in 2010 tapped into the desire of Americans to restore the country to its founding principles and move it away from that "hideous beast," and the movement's success shocked the Republican establishment more than it did liberals. Fred Dryer's right on this... Great post - thanks.
