Guests attending Michelle Obama’s 50th birthday party at the White House later this month can look forward to “a little Dougie” but definitely not dinner.
Word’s out that the lucky VIPs invited to fete Mrs. Obama at a “Snacks & Sips & Dancing & Dessert” party have been advised to dust off their dancing shoes and, more strictly, “to eat before you come.”
While it’s always nice to give the stiletto sporting crowd a heads-up, the East Wing’s “EBYC” directive has some folks in the party planning business scratching their heads.
“I don’t think it’s rude, but I do think it’s a little . . . different than what people are used to. How’s that for putting it delicately?” joked Lizzie Post, great-great-granddaughter of Emily Post and co-author of “Great Get-Togethers: Casual Gatherings and Elegant Parties at Home.”

What makes you think he will wait that long? I think he would like nothing better than to defile the presidency some more. I think his love for his daughter(s), such as it is, is the only reason he hasn’t made his fabulous announcement.
I'll admit that I'm a bad boy - it's not nice to pay attention to other peoples' "weight challenges".
But luckily I was not sipping coffee when I read your post, or else surely it would now be all over my screen and keyboard. What a great mental image - which I embellished by adding a structurally-reinforced engine hoist to the picture.

Those little finger bites will cost more than steak and lobster because each one has be carefully detailed and decorated just so taking hours and hours of hands on time. Then there's the cost of rudeness.

Lizzie obviously is not up with the times. This has been done for years now and one of the most popular parties. And...she is criticizing the First Lady. THAT is rude.
There is not an ounce of fat on Mrs. Obama. Not one ounce. We should all be in the shape she is in. How rude. And untrue.
It does not cost the taxpayers anything. They pay for their own food as all presidents have.
No....The Obamas have to pay for the food. The servants are paid by us.
Hopefully B.O. will end up in a penitentiary.
