They don't strike as frequently as men, and it goes against the grain of how we view our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts and daughters. When women kill, we're shocked and riveted to see those we traditionally view as nurturers, problem solvers and soothers tagged as murderers.

I knew this article was written by a woman as soon as I saw "problem solvers" in there. Not that women aren't problem solvers, but that doesn't automatically come to mind as a characteristic that distinguishes women from men.

Other girls not so much. In the case of an adult male victim most had been told that she (sometimes personal, sometimes a type) was nuts and they should stay away. We were usually brushed off with, "Crazy in the head, crazy in bed."

It's the male version of the "bad boy syndrome". Rarely ends well.

I know you were kidding, but I actually do not watch TV or advertisements and haven't since 2000. I don't miss it a bit. I have read on this site and others, though, that men tend to be portrayed as bumbling idiots.

This wouldn't happen if we didn't emit so much carbon dioxide. Driving SUVs and burning coal to generate electricity is causing climate change, therefore women are turning to murder to support themselves.
