The Great Velveeta Shortage of 2014 (Velveetageddon)
Hotair ^

We live in a country where a momentary shortage, that has not yet even materialized, of a specific, beloved processed cheese product, is a national news story deemed worthy by citizens of being suffixed into a “-pocalypse”

Agreed. Perhaps velvet a should look for more uses for their product to increase sales. Like they might make excellent building blocks? Paperweights? Rat poison ? No maybe that’s not a good one. Maybe artists could sculpt statues of politicians out of blocks of velveeta?

Pssst, don’t tell anyone, but I have some in my fridge right now. Meet me in the alley at 9 pm, bring cash, unmarked twenties.

Wasn’t it noted chef Frank Beard who said something to the effect that ‘A substance that is called ‘cheese food’ is neither’?

Highest and best use of Velveeta is to melt it with an equal part of your favorite salsa and pour it over your chili nachos.

My cardiologist does not approve.

Make it yourself. It is cheese, milk and gelatin.

1 1/2 lb. grated cheddar cheese, divided into 3 equal parts
1 1/2 cups almost boiling water, divided into 3 equal parts
1/2 cup plus 1 tbls. instant dry milk, divided into 3 equal parts
1/2 envelope unflavored gelatin (1 1/2 tsp.), divided into 3 equal parts

How to make it

Line a 8x4x2 loaf pan with plastic wrap
Put 1/2 cup water, 3 tbls. milk, and 1/2 tsp. gelatin into blender
Blend until gelatin has dissolved
Add 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
Blend until blended
Pour into loaf pan
Repeat same procedure two more times
Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight before unmolding
Makes 2 Lb.

Basically, this will cost slightly more than Velveeta, but is still around $6 for 2 pounds. It is just a way to stretch cheese from 1 1/2 to 2 pounds.

What do they put on the Cheese Burgers? It is American cheese, Velveeta?

Is Velveeta American cheese?

***

What ever that strange tasty stuff is it is not real cheese, you do see some pizza places saying we use Real Cheese!

Most of our food today is overly process and contains a lot of excitotoxins http://www.naturalnews.com/excitotoxins.html

We move so far from the mark of food we just sell taste buds no nutrition’s or things food was met for the body.

what will make a profit $$

We need to have clinics where we can go and detox off our addicting excitotoxins and get back to Mother nature.

You can get a regular block on eBay for $12.95 with free shipping $13.87 for the blanco kind.

I have several blocks and am tempted to put them up for bid. People are crazy.
