The Maricopa County GOP in Arizona have decided to censure Senator John McCain. The resolution accuses John McCain of abandoning the issues of the GOP and to siding with the liberals in the senate and Barack Obama in passing legislation, his constituents oppose, including amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens, and betraying his promises to secure the border (Complete the dang fence).
John McCain Censured by Arizonas Republican Leadership
As leaders in the Republican Party, we are obligated to fully support our Party, platform, and its candidates. Only in times of great crisis or betrayal is it necessary to publicly censure our leaders. Today we are faced with both. For too long we have waited, hoping Senator McCain would return to our Partys values on his own. That has not happened. So with sadness and humility we rise and declare:
Whereas Senator McCain has amassed a long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrats, such as Amnesty, funding for ObamaCare, the debt ceiling, assaults on the Constitution and 2nd amendment, and has continued to support liberal nominees;
Whereas this record has been disastrous and harmful to Arizona and the United States; and,
Whereas Senator McCain has campaigned as a conservative and made promises during his re-election campaigns, such as the needed and welcomed promise to secure our borders and finish the border fence, only to quickly flip-flop on those promises; and
Whereas McCain has abandoned our core values and has been eerily silent against Liberals, yet publicly reprimands Conservatives in his own Party, therefore
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Maricopa County Republican leadership censures Senator McCain for his continued disservice to our State and Nation, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that until he consistently champions our Partys Platform and values, we, the Republican leadership in Arizona will no longer support, campaign for or endorse John McCain as our U.S. Senator.
I don’t get why this guy is such a leftist, did Hanoi Jane brainwash him or something over there? Seriously, he’s like a Manchurian candidate this guy. Pose as a Republican and then stab them in the back.
Yes, and as I recall, McPain was very instrumental in pressuring the state GOP to keep it open during the last election.
He ran a scorched earth campaign against J.D. Hayworth.
McCain ran a scorched earth campaign using the money he raised on Sarah Palin's back which he refused to spend against Barack Obama.
Its the best we can do. The damn idiots in the Universities in Tucson, Phoenix and Flagstaff keep getting him re elected.
I will long remember Drudge ramming McStain down our throats in the 08 primaries. And don't forget "Hanoi" John Kerry considering McStain as his VP pick in 04.
The only decent thing McStain has done recently was bringing Sarah Palin to the forefront of the American scene.
BTW, today marks 3266 days since days since 01/30/2005 when "Hanoi" John Kerry promised, on national TV, to sign form SF-180 and release his military records. Still waiting Johnboy! We will NEVER forget.
McCain wanted to lose in 2008, yes, he did.
He gets more goodies as minority party...TV...loved by media...kickbacks, less work...etc. Just like Republican congressmen and senators being ok with 0bummercare, amnesty, etc. That all maintains their more powerful personally as minority party. There can be no logical case to think otherwise...if they wanted to purposely lose elections or govern, what would they be doing differently???
Same argument for Boehner and amnesty...same for Ryan and when his mouth opens...same for...name the pubbie.
This is why they hate the Tea Party...they actually want to win, rock the boat, go BACK to the Constitution and freedom and limited government.
This is why they hate teh T
It’s a start. Let’s see what happens.
They voted for him because Sarah Palin said he was alright.
I’m not Don Quixote. Nothing the rank and file does or wants matters. The wealthy elites want McCain. Any real conservative here gets run out of office like Symington did.
McCain has been AZ Senator for over 25 years. It took Arizona conservatives a quarter of a century to figure all of this out?
.....thanks for commenting, but my article attempted to make a joke that the sob should change parties..........
Better late than never. Time to retire, Johnny.
sob should change parties..........”
Sorry to be so dense. Actually if you look at those that currently have an R behind their name, only about 15 of them at one given time vote as truly Conservative Republicans. It’s almost to the point that perhaps we should scrap the party designation and let whomever run, like they do in our local elections. Not seeing that it makes a whole lot of difference any more, particularly with all the open primaries and cross-party voting that takes place.
All party affiliation means now is that racket R vs. racket D will be sponsoring your candidacy and oiling the political machine for you, nothing more.
Where was all of this before his re-election???
Concur. They reelecte the scum bag and gave the nation this pig back again. Thanks Arizona. You are a hit.
F#%&$...he doesn’t care for “his” country!!
In 2010 McCain beat the conservative in the primary 56 to 32. In the general election McCain beat the Democrat 59 to 35.
.........you know, I absolutely agree with the THRUST of what you say! I would even add that, on principle, the 15 “true” conservatives, if they have been there longer than 12 years, should go.
That said, the Republicans to have one bragging point that we all need to keep in mind which is hard to find fault with. Namely, not one, in the House or Senate, voted for Obamacare.
This is all pap. They knew all along that McCain was democrat lite. Now that it’s obvious McCain is
a secret liberal working with the communist liberals to
instill socialism in America, they are covering their
asses just in case it goes the other way.
If this isn’t the case, then why didn’t they censure
him before his reelection?
