The Maricopa County GOP in Arizona have decided to censure Senator John McCain. The resolution accuses John McCain of abandoning the issues of the GOP and to siding with the liberals in the senate and Barack Obama in passing legislation, his constituents oppose, including amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens, and betraying his promises to secure the border (Complete the dang fence).
John McCain Censured by Arizonas Republican Leadership
As leaders in the Republican Party, we are obligated to fully support our Party, platform, and its candidates. Only in times of great crisis or betrayal is it necessary to publicly censure our leaders. Today we are faced with both. For too long we have waited, hoping Senator McCain would return to our Partys values on his own. That has not happened. So with sadness and humility we rise and declare:
Whereas Senator McCain has amassed a long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrats, such as Amnesty, funding for ObamaCare, the debt ceiling, assaults on the Constitution and 2nd amendment, and has continued to support liberal nominees;
Whereas this record has been disastrous and harmful to Arizona and the United States; and,
Whereas Senator McCain has campaigned as a conservative and made promises during his re-election campaigns, such as the needed and welcomed promise to secure our borders and finish the border fence, only to quickly flip-flop on those promises; and
Whereas McCain has abandoned our core values and has been eerily silent against Liberals, yet publicly reprimands Conservatives in his own Party, therefore
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Maricopa County Republican leadership censures Senator McCain for his continued disservice to our State and Nation, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that until he consistently champions our Partys Platform and values, we, the Republican leadership in Arizona will no longer support, campaign for or endorse John McCain as our U.S. Senator.
Who cares?
The voters had TWO chances to get rid of his sorry a$$... Once in the primary and again in the general. They could have gotten him either time and didn’t...
McCain (et al) RINO’s are the biggest reason for repeal of the 17th...
IOW, John “Whacko Bird” McCain is a Loyal Obamacrat RINO.
I don’t see anything happening, but good for them. McPain will more than likely sneer, and spew some venom, but to ‘H’ with him.
McCain and his butt buddy linda graham could form the “We’ve Been Censured” club.
IIRC, linda has been censured three times in South Carolina, twice by the same group.
Good for them, albeit, it’s a bit late in coming.
I can’t see anything coming of this action towards McCain. McCain only cares about his state 18 months out from the election. Other than that...he just does and says whatever the heck he wants....and calls himself a ‘maverick’.
I can’t believe I actually voted for his sorry backside in 2008. :::sigh::: I think I must have forgotten how much of a carbuncle McCain has become. I really do loathe the creature and his ‘pal’ LG.
People in AZ probably don’t even know what “censure” means; it surely doesn’t mean much. People in AZ will never admit they are wrong about McC. Nor will the Kentuckians about the other silly McC.
I understand he’s seriously considering running for yet another term. One would think he would get the message but considering who he thinks he is, probably not.
I believe we’ve done this before....
Is this an old story?
The Arizona GOP shouldn’t support McCain anyway, now that he has become the Republican argument for term limitation.
In before the Palin bashers get here.
We had a fine candidate in J.D. Hayworth. By the time McCain’s media minions turned him into a crook , a liar, and a cretin, all the fools impressed by Johnny Mac’s ancient war record showed up and drooled all over the ballot box in voting for their hero. Then the Dems ran their usual hacknflak intentional loser, a Tucson City Councilman, and it was another six years in the bank for the Rino betrayer.
Many of us here did what we could. It’s always stacked for McCain, a true Democrat in Rino clothing.
Lots of us, myself included, made that MISTAKE in order to get Palin. I did NOT repeat it during his last election to the Senate.
We live, some of us learn.
Ya get what ya vote for
Sorry. I mean collectively speaking. Obviously not everyone in AZ voted for the sorry SOB and not everyone got what they voted for.
Why not do a recall petition.. Is that not an option?
McCain is a prime example of how FUBAR our system of government has become. That the people can't rid themselves of entrenched royal bureaucrats like him, is proof positive that we need some kind of honest reset.
