Some students in the country illegally have complained that the millions of dollars the University of California system recently pledged to help them earn a college degree will come by way of student loans instead of grants.
As UC officials discuss specifics on how the $5 million UC President Janet Napolitano recently budgeted to support undocumented students will be allocated much of which will go to student loan programs, its been decided - some student activists have bemoaned that its not fair to strap stressed out, disadvantaged students in the country illegally with college debt.
We think that the 5 million dollars will have an impact if the money goes directly into the pockets of undocumented students, By Any Means Necessary campus activist group leader David Douglass told The Daily Californian in an email.

Undocumented Democrats never get enough ...
This is satire, correct?
If they voted Republican, the government would have thrown them out a very long time ago....
Who is going to find them when they have to pay anyway.
Plus most of them and their families are working gray areas not paying taxes and at the same time manage to find their way onto the dole.
I feel nothing for their complaints because they do not follow our laws and do nothing like others have to come here legally.
They ever falsify papers and letters stating status here that they never had in order to stay and it is all fraud.
Secure the border.
Janet Napolitano disrepectin’ illegals!
What ever happened to “Living in the shadows”? Can’t these people just go back?
Whatever is GIVEN away is never good enough. ‘Should be larazs motto.
Maybe they should return to their homeland and apply for grants from their universities.
You knew this was coming.
Well, hey, they can go the heck home to their countries (or one country)
If they are in the country illegally, why are they even allowed to enroll in our colleges and universities in the first place?
Thta is what I was thinking. If they never pay it back, it is pretty much a grant.
They don’t pay back the loans, or pay off their interest free mortgages that they moved onto from public housing. They get in state tuition plus scholarships for being Hispanic and being foreigners, and what the can’t borrow, be given or cheat on, they steal.
What’s to stop them from getting the student LOANS, getting their degrees and then leave the country to pursue their new careers in whatever their major was?
They don’t have to repay until graduation, so in effect it is a grant.
This isn’t about grants vs. loans. It’s about getting dinero to fund more radical agendas up front...................
Only with debt will illegals be truly indebted to democrats. Like Jesse Jackson said (paraphrasing) push as much student loan money as you can...then we will forgive the loans and we will have their vote.
Not just illegals either.
Illegals in Ca get FAFSA money and have been for a few years. Many parents were complaining their legal children got way less than they did before. One guy made less money than ever before and his child almost got nothing. It was around 5 years ago when they added illegals to FAFSA.
This has to redefine chutzpah.
The universities just raise their prices to absorb whatever government aid is available anyway. Liberals who make an affluent living from the higher ed system are the actual beneficiaries. Funny how that happens.
