First on CNN: Liz Cheney, whose bid to unseat Wyoming Sen. Mike Enzi sparked a round of warfare in the Republican Party and even within her own family, is dropping out of the Senate primary, sources told CNN's John King.
Cheney, the eldest daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, began telling associates of her decision over the weekend and could make an announcement about the race as early as Monday.
1) Congress had NO authority to pass O Bamacare
2)Obama had NO authority to sign Obamacare
3) The SCOTUS had NO authority to rule that BOTH congress and Obama had the authority to pass Obamacare
He had all the bases covered. So what does that all mean? Any practical info there??
Today he was freakin out about some stuff that Chamber Commerce guy said.
He's on this kick, “Republicans will lose in 2014 if the GOPe.....”
Mark, Dems will take a beating in November. So you are motivating GOPe to do their worst just to prove you are wrong.
Anyone who kills a pretty girl should be marinated in fish oil while still alive and then fed to stray cats. Deterrence, gentleman, deterrence.
Damn straight!
I’m so glad nothing ever happened to us (robbed or killed) on vacation in Mexico, which is permanently off the vacation list.
Whaddya mean ? Your g/f was almost killed by that sadistic Mejican masseuse.
That was me; she “only” had some lacerations.
I’m talking in terms of getting robbed or killed.
me get lucky this week.
went to caucus .... 16 GOPers in my ward showed up, competing for 14 Town Committee spots ... I quik .. raise hand ... agree to drop out ... give my seat to another.
No longer hafta go to city hall and deal with the treacherous GOP. Greenberg will show up next month, wonder where I am ... his other big supporter in town is also off the committee. Exoneration.
This sounds like unfavorable news to me.
are you on your GOP local committee? If not, it probably isn’t stopping you from supporting your favorite candidate. In fact, it might free you up to use your time productively.
another thought:
ZERO of the top brass in the local GOP here supported Greenberg in ‘10 and ‘12 primaries. Actively supported others.
Despite that ... Greenberg almost won the primary in town ... a 4-way race ... he lost by 2 votes. Received over 300 votes.
He would be well-advised to spend time courting his 300 supporters ... get them together for events ... instead he ignores them and heads to the Town Committee every time he is here.
I don’t like that approach.
I live in the ‘hood, G. The “local GOP committee” meets in my bathroom whenever I look in the mirror.
dat why sometime I get out of town to support folks.
I am thinking bout a guy who ran for state rep 2 years ago. Got 46%. Gonna run again.
Smart guy. Civil and good-natured. Solid Conservative. Smart. about 30 min from my house.
better with him than an ingrate who is think and cannot win ... the drawback is it takes me out of CT-5 into John Larson’s district, CT-1. I don’t care. I need to stick with quality people and let the others handle their own campaign.
If Greenberg needs me ... why hasn’t he called?
