DAILY CURRANT Colorado is reconsidering its decision to legalize recreational pot following the deaths of dozens due to marijuana overdoses.
According to a report in the Rocky Mountain News, 37 people were killed across the state on January 1st, the first day the drug became legal for all adults to purchase. Several more are clinging onto life in local emergency rooms and are not expected to survive.
Its complete chaos here, says Dr. Jack Shepard, chief of surgery at St. Lukes Medical Center in Denver, Ive put five college students in body bags since breakfast and more are arriving every minute.

His friend Peter? Would that be “Skinny Pete”? LOL
At least they stayed away from the brown acid. That would have been a real bummer.
“As a matter of fact, most pot smokers would tell you they are more aware while driving. “
Not more “aware”. More concerned, yes. Especially if you are going to die and take out others when you crash.
Exactly. Provide lots of low cost marijuana to the slum dwellers to keep them mellow. Also lots of Xbox. Crime goes down because the boys are stoned and jacked into gaming.
There used to be a TV show about a guy who rode a motorcycle, smoked dope and fought bad guys. It was short lived.
True.
There are no Marijuana Frozen Bullet Train commercials during every 5 minutes of NFL games .
And SWAT won’t come break in your door and shoot you for drinking Coors at the wrong address.
Pinkman? seriously?
200 to 300 deaths expected. Will John Morgan represent the dead in Florida if he gets his way here? Medical Marijuana my lily white arse; we know why it’s trying to get on the ballot. There may be a handful doing it for altruistic measures but come on, we know the score.
C’mon, you’re supposed to put a satire tag on it.
And raising the CAFE standards kills and has killed far more people.
Silly! Did you forget a /sarc tag?
The Colorado law applies to 21 and over.
The World Health Organization (WHO) defines adolescence as the period of life between 10 and 19 years of age.
“In 2010, 10,228 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes, accounting for nearly one-third (31%) of all traffic-related deaths in the United States.1”
I guess we should outlaw alcohol. Oh wait, we tried that....

it promotes the munchies, dude.
The author could have asked me, and I would have gladly told the author that very sort of thing was found out 43 years ago. I witnessed some of my fellow airmen buy the stuff on the open market in a Thailand village, and drop dead three hours later, while at a roadside fried rice place, eating lunch.
That was my first excursion off-base, since arriving there.
If’n I had any notions about anything, it was never to do any kind of drugs, and not to start smoking. Still strong on that one, lemme tell ya.
As a child of the 60's, I know very well that habitual use of pot CAN induce paranoia, not that I ever "inhaled".
Most give up pot by 30 or earlier because it DOES induce "paranoia" (the cops are going to bust down the door any moment), and the stupid laughs and munchies get old. Most move on to alcohol and some move on to other drugs, others just stop.
Again, not sure about total legalization, but bona fide Doctors should be able to prescribe it for various illnesses.
Last thought: If the DEA and other LEO's re-directed their resources to stop the truly damaging drugs, that would be a good thing.
It is a Hoax!!! This should be pulled from FR...not even “likely” satire. Posting this here is WRONG!
LOL, I'm not a stoner but have really enjoyed Cheech and Chong over the years, their comedy albums were hilarious....Dave's not here, man.
