Correct. They are not content to let people live as they wish. They must FORCE their will on others.
The country is divided between the big government liberals on the east and west coasts and those who believe in liberty in the rest of the country.
The only strategy that has a chance of working is organized civil disobedience. It takes a lot of regular people who are fed up enough to be willing to sacrifice a lot and be brutalized. Tougher than the civil rights demonstrators as the elite culture and the media were on their side and a lot of politicos were as well for various reasons. (Note CD does not mean that complete nonviolence and pacifism is required. Hated institutions such as the IRS might find they have so much property damage that they have to exist as fortified enclaves. This becomes a very demoralizing existence in short order.)

They need the dhimmis to support them. If we leave, they will come after us to enslave us. Don't see much hope for Williams' third way; but of course it is the sensible course of action.
One of those irreconcilable differences is that they won’t ever be content to let people live outside of their control,
while we’d be happy as clams for them to have their collectivist fantasy “over there, in that state” and leave us alone.
