NTSB: Hawaii plane floated 25 mins, then sank.

The National Transportation Safety Board says in a preliminary accident report that a small commercial plane that crash-landed in Hawaii waters floated for about 25 minutes before sinking.

That was her step mother. Her mother Evelyn Mae Antone Fuddy died in 1973. She was born in Honolulu, with Portuguese ancestry.

Seemed like Kawasaki thought it would take 1/2 hour, not an hour.

At #40, Fuddy's flight back to Honolulu was only 30 minutes. The Coast Guard's speed would be faster.

The Facebook page for Deliana Fuddy (has all her family stuff on it) says she was born on Molokai.

You know that she had two different facebook pages (with two different sets of friends)?

Yeah, I knew that. And doesn’t her “Loretta Fuddy” one claim a Honolulu birth? Or am I remembering that wrong?

Was her mother a resident at Kalaupapa? I’ve looked at so many pages I can’t keep anything straight right now, but I saw at least one where it was said that Fuddy’s mother was a resident in Kalaupapa. I thought it must have been mistaken when the information about her mother being a computer programmer for the HDOH came up, but if that was her father’s second wife they could both still be true.

It just seems weird that nobody would have seen the plane go down.

Especially weird since the CG was notified of the crash at 3:27 (which would make the report of departure of 3:15 rather than the scheduled 3:35 more in line) be some time after the crash) and the airport wasn't supposed to close until 3:30. Makes you wonder just when the airport personnel closed up or if they had bothered showing up for work that day. Also makes you wonder if Fuddy had chartered the plane and Kawasaki had hung around all day and if he left the plane unattended.

With Fuddy being "The Mayor", you'd think her ride would at least have waved her off. The other passengers should have had rides hanging around unless they all came by taxi. “Once the materials are delivered to site in 2015, we believe this project will be completed within 4 to 6 months more or less,” said Fung. “By Dec. 2015, the garage will be completed and the fire truck will be in place and in use. That is our target.”

Ah, it's island time. That's why it took the rescuers so long. I'm betting the "Fuddy Garage" gets built in a hurry after this.

They get supplies on a barge that comes once a year. The plans for the garage had been in the works since 2010 but they missed the barge for those years, trying to figure out the details. The FAA regulations got in the way of their initial plans.

The date of Stanley Ann Dunham's death in November of 1995 is corroborated by (1) an obit which appeared in the Honolulu Star Advertiser and (2) the Social Security Death Index.

If a NY condo was registered in her name or her SS# was being used more than a decade later, it would be highly suspicious of identity theft.
