I worked on the US drone program. The public should know what really goes on Few of the politicians who so brazenly proclaim the benefits of drones have a real clue how it actually works (and doesn't)

Whenever I read comments by politicians defending the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Predator and Reaper program – aka drones – I wish I could ask them a few questions. I'd start with: "How many women and children have you seen incinerated by a Hellfire missile?" And: "How many men have you seen crawl across a field, trying to make it to the nearest compound for help while bleeding out from severed legs?" Or even more pointedly: "How many soldiers have you seen die on the side of a road in Afghanistan because our ever-so-accurate UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles] were unable to detect an IED [improvised explosive device] that awaited their convoy?"

I detest the use of drones. It makes the act of waging war too damn easy. The decision to wage war should be the hardest thing a US president ever has to do.

I always wondered about the effect on the people in the military whose duty it was to pick the targets. I thought they would be picked from kids that were numb from playing violent video games. Apparently I was wrong.

I think anyone who takes Guardian advocacy pieces seriously are either leftist or none too bright.

It is reminiscent of the Death Star from the first Star Wars.

We’re wielding evil power through the technology. I’m afraid the Genie is out of the bottle.

I hope we survive.

I’m all for the drone program. Have you ever been an a light infantry company? I’m no fan of Obama, and I’m aware of the anti war left’s hypocrisy on this and a myriad of other issues, but the drone program is effective and a good tool for commanders on the ground, special forces and the like to get rounds on target.

Or in this case; Valarie Jarrett.

The reality is that it is probably just a matter of time before drones wind up being used against us - on US soil. This technology is not going to only be in US hands. It can make us just as vulnerable at home as it makes others vulnerable elsewhere.

I come in peace and mean you no harm.

Does this Linebaugh mentioned, tarnish the good name of Linebaugh- the Linebaugh lineage associated with the Linebaugh .480?

I have the certainty that when HE does it’ll affect the guilty and some of the innocent as well.

If I’m swept up, so be it.

Something has to happen soon.

We have non-moving drones that issue tickets for running red lights and going to fast.
