As 2014 dawns, we have the spectacle of federal AmeriCorps “members” becoming liable to the Obamacare law’s penalties for individuals who fail to have up-to-snuff health insurance. Why are AmeriCorps' semi-volunteers in trouble? Because the health plans provided by their federal employer don’t meet the feds’ own law.
Needless to say, the young people involved didn’t realize joining a federal program would bring federal punishments, and they feel betrayed. Sarah Sklaw, a 22-year-old Vista member from New York City, says AmeriCorps’ parent agency, the Corporation for National and Community Service, repeated the Lie of the Year, “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it.” Sklaw told the Times:
I really support the Affordable Care Act, and I don’t want to be a naysayer. But it was surprising and frustrating to be told that our health coverage would not meet the law’s standards, especially because the Corporation for National and Community Service told us at orientation in August that we did not need to worry about the issue.
Another AmeriCorps member, Abby Grosslein -- who is pictured in the Times posing under her BarackObama.com FORWARD! poster -- has also learned a valuable lesson on the nature of government:
“It would be nice if the government waived the penalty because we are a federally funded program,” said Ms. Grosslein, 24, who is completing her third year of service with AmeriCorps. “It’s as if the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.”

You can anticipate a similar result in this case. Maybe without an actual "Stroke of the Pen". Just "Law of the Land" should be good enough.

Reality is smacking the useful idiots right in the face and they still don't get it. The Democrats needed their votes to keep the Obama regime in power long enough to put the government in complete control of everyone's well being. The regime doesn't really care that much who is hurt by it. As long as they can maintain control over the masses.

Well ACA caused our son’s health insurance to be cancelled.
Our daughter’s employer has informed the employees at her office that since ACA is causing their health insurance to cost $80K more per year, this will come out of the bonus and raises funds. So no bonuses, no raises for the foreseeable future.
I am Tea Party and we were targeted by Obama and IRS.
So his corruption has hit my family and these are the people I care about.

You have to work for 10 years in “public service.” I know a psychologist who is working for a private contractor at a cut rate. The contractor takes care of kids taken in by the state. That’s “public service.” So, you earn less money than you could and you get your outrageous loans forgiven.
Do away with all of the loans and suddenly school would be cheap enough anybody could work their way through. But then they universities would have to stop looking like spas for the mega rich and paying professors outrageous salaries to teach women’s studies.
