SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. -- A recent college graduate is waiting to hear the words Im sorry from two Spokane County Sheriff's deputies. Conner Guerrero said the deputies were sneaking around his house, forced him on his knees on his lawn, and handcuffed him in front of his neighbors.
But deputies had the wrong house and the wrong guy. "Just trying to enjoy my evening. All the sudden, I see a flashlight shining through my doors said Guerrero. I'm thinking this could be a dangerous situation for me. Guerrero said he assumed the two men outside his house were burglars.I come over to my door and I slap it to say hey someone is in this house and they're not going to let you come in here.
He said he then got the scare of his life. "Right as soon as I opened this door, and it's dark outside - it's very dark and all I can see is a pistol.
As Conner ran for cover, he heard a man yell Sheriff's Office and asking him to come out. Guerrero said he immediately complied. "I'm wondering why the hell is a gun being pointed at me right now!
Conner said the deputies accused him of being an intruder on his own home. They directed me to take a knee, well both knees, he said. "The gun [was] still drawn. The deputies then reportedly took his ID, proving Guerrero lived there.
But he claimed when the mistake was realized, he was the one apologizing while the deputy said something that gave him chills.
You're lucky I didn't [expletive] shoot you,"
He soon learned the deputies were responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle but went to the wrong house.

Do you have the Freep link to that?
Less of them but still plenty of them.
I can’t understand how a person can be a Constitutional conservative, and advocate for big powerful gubment.
My theory is that it is based on:
1. The misapprehension of Christianity. A Pharisaical self righteousness.
2. Fear. Fear of harm. Fear of a lack of structure. A desire to transfer risk onto society.
That’s my best guess.
I’m glad to hear the Deputies got to go home safe at the end of the shift.
‘This Sheriff is an a**hole and needs to be turned out of office at the next election.”
And just what do you know about Sheriff Knezovich?
He’s a stand-up guy, and takes action against the occasional wrong-way/rogue deputy.
That said, Guerrero is damned lucky he didn’t get the Scott Creech treatment.
Moral of the story: Don’t go out/open the door to meet potential miscreants. Call the cops. It would’ve been poetic justice in this case.
“Put yourself in the deputies position, said Sheriff Knezovich.
Ok FBD here is the guy you were missing. Here is the Scott Creech story this guy is referencing.

So castlebrew, you are cool with the way Scott Creech was handled? You make me sad. The way Law Enforcement is done in this country must be reformed.
haha, well played.
I think he got kicked off though?
how can they convict when they force entry into a home and don’t even identify themselves?
keeps coming back under different names?
If they are forced to apologize they will but then they’ll mark your car and it’ll be stopped every block or so and do a complete check-out of you and the car.
a-fricking-men.
Thanks for the link DB.
Castlebrew, were you being serious about this kid getting the “Scott Creech treatment”?
I can't believe that someone would say that on Free Republic. Cops these days are like inlaws - when you don't want them or need them, they are all over the place. If you do, they are nowhere to be found.
I don’t think the wolfie girl is gonna be back. The Mods were very patient, (even after her first time offender warning/penalty of a 7 day ‘go stand in her corner’ thing), the last time and he still kept up his B/S after reinstatement. He sure was a fan of the Nazi style tactics we see from the LEOs now. He especially got off when they slaughtered some poor doggy. Some people are just a bit screwy in the head I guess.
More than "luck" stands between you and a "protect and serve" double-tap...I hope
You don't pound on a door, open it and slam it that way. Put yourself in the deputies position, said Knezovich.
FU Sheriff.
Sadly, I think you’re pretty close with number 1. I agree it is an attitude inimical to constitutional conservatism.
