Brooklyn District Attorney-elect Ken Thompson is happy to be taking Charles Hynes seat next weekbut he says the veteran lawman can keep his throne.
Thompson transition aide Arnie Kriss has told a Hynes staffer that Thompson wants the toilet seat in the district attorneys private bathroom replaced, said a source close to the outgoing DA.
Kriss said Thompson wants a new toilet seat installed in the DAs private bathroom because he doesnt want to sit on the same toilet seat that Hynes sat on, the source said. Youd think hed be worried about running the office, not about a toilet seat. [ ]
Thompson spokesman James Freedland brushed aside the issue, calling it a nontroversy.

Does Hynes have AIDS?
Why can;t he run down to a hardware store and buy his own toilet seat and replace it himself... or does getting a law degree make someone incapable of doing the simplest home maintenance type work?
So...a spritz or two of 409 ain’t good enough for His Royal Hyneless?
Maybe he’s afraid the seat is bugged...
He’s making a low class political statement.
Thompson will be the butt of many jokes.
I’ve got to end this toilet humor...no really, I’m going to exit this thread.
Before I owned my own home, I've lived in probably 10 or 15 different places (throughout my life) and it never occured to me that I should replace the toilet seat.
Think I shoulda posted this in the smoky backroom . . . ? I’m starting to think so now, in retrospect.
>>Why can;t he run down to a hardware store and buy his own toilet seat and replace it himself... or does getting a law degree make someone incapable of doing the simplest home maintenance type work?
My thought exactly. A man takes care of these things quietly and without fuss.
“does getting a law degree make someone incapable of doing the simplest home maintenance type work?”
In most cases they are naturally incapable. Some people
need higher education otherwise they are completely
worthless. Lawyers especially.
Oh FGS!
Sounds like a grade school fight to me.........
go to home depot and buy your own replacement takes 5 mins to change it why bother taxpayers with your trival BS.

As a women who grew up on a farm and did a lot things like this both when i was growing up and later when living alone it really pops into my mind when some namby pamby city dweller whines about such simple tasks...
You can get them at Wal-Mart and K-Mart too. And yes, it takes about five minutes using a hand screwdriver.
Being NY, I’m sure there is some union that controls toilet seat exchanges. Can’t mess with the unions.
Good grief.
Right..."toilet seat changers of the world, unite...you have nothing to lose but your...er, um, well, you know". True ass-hat...in reverse.
We all know what the means.
