The Guy Who Created "Duck Dynasty" Starred In A Movie About Gay Porn

A decade before Scott Gurney created Duck Dynasty, he starred as a gay porn star in a 2001 movie called The Fluffer, an unmentioned but delightful fact in the background of the show’s recent conflagration over Phil Robertson’s homophobic comments to GQ. But it’s not a secret either; The Fluffer, which was an independent film that played at the 2001 Toronto International Film Festival, is right there on Gurney’s IMDb page.

I called Gurney Productions — which Gurney founded in 2005 with his wife, Deirdre — to ask for a comment. I was told no one gets connected to Scott on the phone, and I should send an email. (I did.) A spokesman for A&E also didn’t immediately return an email requesting a comment.

Gurney’s character in The Fluffer is gay-for-pay and a meth addict. He becomes the object of obsession for a male film student who gets a job as his on-set fluffer. It’s dark! It was directed by Wash West and Richard Glatzer.

The left hates this show, and has cringed at it’s success from the beginning.. They thought they could kill two birds with a single stone, humiliate the star, and display the intolerance of the right..

They are incredulous at the backlash, even from their own more moderate, because they live in an echo chamber, where everybody thinks the same way, but they know they are out of the mainstream of acceptance, and carry that guilt..

They need our affirmation, but know it’s near impossible, so they choose to shove it down our throats, as a last resort to preserve their own sanity..

The Left’s strategy to fix the dent in the Gay juggernaut created by the Duck Dynasty family will be to start releasing embarrassing, damaging (real or made-up it doesn’t matter) to absolutely destroy the good men and women of “Duck Dynasty”.

Look for “abuse stories” of their employees to start percolating out, or other embarrassing incidents from the past. The duck calls are swallowed accidentally by babies or puppies or something. Anything to bring some reproach on their integrity.

The Left are not satisfied that the show is off of A&E, no, they will want to destroy them financially, destroy their reputations, to make examples of them for ever speaking some truth.

In undergrad I took a cinema class (it was either that, or being bored to death in an art appreciation class, or worse - have to take an actual hands-on art class). One of my fellow classmates had actually worked the technical side (Grip) on porn movies.

One of the movies we saw, although ostensibly "mainstream" had an incredibly tawdry lesbian sex scene. In the discussion afterward (which involved a LOT of us making snarky remarks about being forced to watch gay porn) he started volunteering comments based on his own personal observations. One was that the "fluffers" in male gay porn movies are generally ... women. Because the actors aren't usually themselves gay.

Apparently there aren't a heck of a lot of authentically gay actors (at least ones who are physically appealing to the gay male audience) in the porn industry. So the "entry fee" for hetero male porn actors to get to play with the girls is to fulfill a quota of gay movies first ...
