OK, gang. We're seeing the railroading of Phil Robertson for the high crime of professing his faith in response to a direct question.
1. We need to overwhelm A&E with support for Phil. Here's the email I sent to feedback@aenetworks.com. . .
To whom it may concern:
Apparently, A&E Networks find it objectionable that Phil Robertson, when asked a direct question, gave a direct answer and referenced the teachings of his faith.
For his honesty, which, frankly, is one of the charms of "Duck Dynasty", you've decided to put Phil on hiatus.
Well, I've put A&E on hiatus. AND, I've also put buying products and services advertised on A&E on hiatus, and will be informing each and every one of your advertisers of the fact. I'm sure that Wal-Mart, amongst others, will be in touch about that. . .
You might remember the Chik-fil-A brouhaha, and how that worked out. . . .
2. We need to execute the "Rakolta Technique": that is, we need a list of advertisers and products advertised on A&E, and then contact each and every sponsor promising NOT to buy their products UNTIL Phil Robertson returned to "Duck Dynasty". . .
Feedback ? Suggestions
Good point... but I don’t think Phil was an employee in the “classic sense” of the word. He was contracted for services.
Call A&E 212-210-1400
They should then tell A&E that they won’t renew...
Maybe someone already made this connection, but could Phil’s comment been made a big deal since he snubbed Barbara Walters?
If A&E were so upset then why not pull the show? As of last night their website didn’t even elude to Phil being punished. This could be a ratings stunt because by not watching DD that could be construed as support for A&E’s punishment.
Community organizers demand coordination of opinion. Get with it. Opinion only counts if you agree with the politically-correct wussies. Any opinion (or belief) contrary to theirs is heresy and needs to be silenced. Central planning at its best.
The gastopo and lavender mafia will win this unless there is massive pushback.
Commercials: are for other shows on their network.
X Box
KMart
Pizza Hut
Home Depot
I-HOP
Starbursts
Musinax
“Isnt employer discrimination based upon religion or creed illegal?”
Phil is not an A&E employee, he is either an employee or co-owner of the production company or both that produces the show. A&E buys the show.
What about the rest of the Duck Dynastion family? They aren’t walking out?
The only thing that will work with A&E is make them pay. Take it to another network.
JC Penny condition should be the example of how companies undermine morality by promoting the gay lifestyle.
NO where did Phil ‘hate’ on gays. The Christian way is to ‘Love the sinner. Hate the sin.’ LGBT should understand there’s nothing WE can do to change the word of God.
That would be...AWESOME...!
Some how, though, I would bet even-odds that if the NFL gets wind of such an effort, they will add “duck calls” to their “verboten in the stadium” list and confiscate every duck call at the gate.
I didn’t mention A&E. He is under contract for consideration, that being his presence and performance on these shows. That is an employer-employee relationship under the law.
They owned the big houses and lots of land before the show started. Their success is why the show started.
Many of them have said many times in different interviews that the show and popularity will not last. They have said they will make the most of it while it does, and that includes using it as a platform to get out the word of God.
DONE
I think they have succeeded in doing that. If they stay on, it will be under A&E's rules of censorship and I don't believe the Robertson's will compromise their faith just to stay on the air. At least I hope they don't.
Like you said, they don't need the money since they were already successful...
