Sebelius dodges question about whether she offered resignation
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Friday refused to say whether she's offered to resign in the wake of botched rollout of the new Obamacare marketplaces.
"I'm not going to discuss what I talk about with the president," Sebelius said from Miami, where she was promoting the new marketplaces.
Earlier this week at a congressional hearing, Sebelius acknowledged to lawmakers that the launch of HealthCare.gov, the Obamacare website, was "flawed and failed and frustrating." She hasaccepted responsibility for the failed launch, but the White House maintains that President Obama still has confidence in her.

"I can tell you that, as I've said in the past, the president has confidence in Secretary Sebelius and appreciates the work that she's done," White House spokesman Jay Carney said Friday. "And she, like every member of her team engaged in this effort, is focused every day on making fixes to the website."
Once the extent of the Obamacare problems started coming into focus in October, a number of Republicans urged Mr. Obama to call for Sebelius' resignation.
The secretary on Friday also brushed off PolitiFact's declaration that Mr. Obama's assurance that "If you like your health plan, you can keep it" is the "Lie of the Year."

That’s what passes for accountability these days. A possibly tendered resignation—no one to know—and a future outsize pension.
In not-so-long-ago Japan, it was clear that a mere resignation of office wasn’t enough for accountability. Seppuku at least meant never again having to say you were sorry.
With even a mediocre president she would never have gotten the position, it says a whole lot about her and 0bummer.
leftist don’t resign. They have to be fired, removed in cuffs, or something more drastic.
When you are a leftist, it means never having to believe you are wrong. Never sincerely apologizing, and never resigning.
In this administration you can accept responsibility for huge mistakes and then go about your business with no consequences. Other than the occasional promotion.
President Obama still has confidence in the Muslim Brotherhood. He knows that he has to put on a strong front.

As I recall, Janet Reno accepted full responsibility for BBQ-ing nearly a hundred Branch Davidians, and suffered no adverse consequences.

There is no shame in politics. Wiener had to be beaten over the head with low numbers and finally resigned. Not because he was already found to be a slime bucket. Clinton, Obama, sebellius. No shame. You have go impeach, subpoena, indict, remove by whatever means necessary. Not enough guts, honor, will to get it done.
I think she probably did offer her resignation. Until Obama, any normal American President would have fired her without question. This is not your GrandDad’s American President. He is nothing without his shock absorbers, his false targets and salaried scapegoats before they get too expensive to maintain. You see Obama still clings tightly to rotted goods; like Susan (WhatBengazi?) Rice, like Attorney General Eric(Fast&Furious/BlackPantherdefender)Holder, rotted goods like Timmy(Tax-Dodger) Geither, etc, etc. “Kate! I need you. Please don’t leave me. I’ll give you a car, a coat, a college, a masseur, anything!!”
Another one was Hillary who accepted full responsibility for Benghazi and when questioned about it she said “what difference does it make?”

Oh, who cares if she offered to resign. I like her right where she is . . a highly visible picture of incompetence on stage for all of the world to see.
