She has accepted responsibility for the failed launch, but the White House maintains that President Obama still has confidence in her. In this administration you can accept responsibility for huge mistakes and then go about your business with no consequences. Other than the occasional promotion.

As I recall, Janet Reno accepted full responsibility for BBQ-ing nearly a hundred Branch Davidians, and suffered no adverse consequences.
