Radiation alerts hit U.S. cities
World Net Daily ^ | 12/13/2013 | Bob Unruh

A private organization that monitors radiation data from network points across the United States issued email alerts today for two Western U.S. cities, Reno, Nev., and St. George, Utah.

The alerts came from the the Nuclear Emergency Tracking Center, which explains its mission is to provide radiation monitoring information from hundreds of sites in Japan and the U.S., including those run by the Environmental Protection Agency.

The warning pinpointed an area “of concern” in St. George, Utah, where background radiation levels more than doubled today from the typical reading.

In Reno, “the current background radiation level has increased suddenly by more than 200 points from the typical average.”

The report said the “counts per minute” at St. George reach an all-time high of 456, while the average is 222 with a normal deviation of 55.

In Reno, the CPM suddenly surged to 462. The all time high is 542. The average is 279 with a deviation of 56.2.

Nothing to see here folks... Move along now. Just some private fear mongering group trying to discredit our government "scientists" and "health agencies". The real danger is global warming, coal-fired power plants and 100 watt incandescent light bulbs. /s

The Muslims now know how easy it is to get radioactive material in Mexico... and there is no real border enforcement any more...

I think they can likely add 2 and 2

I see the two in Reno and St. George, but what about the two in/near San Francisco?

Wonder how much radiation floated around when years of above ground nuke tests were being done?

Yeah, supposedly, they invented algebra... or stole it, one of the two.

Most likely escape of Radon gas from decaying Uranium.
It has been projected this is a precursor to an upcoming earthquake but it is only a theory.

There was a +3 quake near Reno a couple weeks ago.

Levels were MUCH higher.
It was high enough that scientists could do an est yield based on the decay patterns.

Radon gas seems a plausible explanation.

Good afternoon.

Can you interpret this for me? Many of those sites have nuclear weapons, generating capacity, or storage of waste.

I was raised in Modoc Co. California, not too far from Nevada. One morning when I was about 12 years old, Dad got us up very early and said we are going to watch the atom blast test. He calculated the direction it should come from and we stood on the front porch facing that direction. He thought we would see some light, but the minutes ticked by and we saw nothing and we went back to bed.

About 6 years later my thyroid pretty much died and I was put on synthroid and was on it for 33 years. Gradually I was weaned off and no longer take it. Mom's thyroid began to grow rapidly and she had to have it killed with of all things a nuclear pill. It didn't kill all of it, but what it left her with was just the right amount and they released her from Dr.s care. She died at 86 from a broken heart because Dad had died at 89 from a stroke.

Just this past week I was told by a biofeedback naturopath that I am teeming with radiation.

I was one of these symbols a few months ago form prostate cancer treatment. They said to stay away from children and pregnant women.

Interesting. I didn’t know that, but it makes sense I suppose. Maybe Yellowstone is gonna blow.
