The White House insisted Wednesday that President Obamas credibility had not been damaged by the botched rollout of Obamacare, despite a series of recent polls showing his diminished standing with the American public.
"I don't think I agree with that conclusion, White House deputy press secretary Josh Earnest said of the assertion that fewer Americans trust the president because of broken promises over his signature domestic achievement.
However, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found that 54 percent of respondents disapproved of the presidents job performance, driven mainly by the problem-plagued rollout of Obamacare.
Fifty-eight percent of those surveyed said Obamacare was the issue that most affected their perceptions of the president. In comparison, one-fourth of respondents identified the economy as driving their views of Obama.
White House officials believe they have turned the corner on the technical problems with healthcare.gov and counter that more Americans will support the law as they become familiar with the benefits of the Affordable Care Act.
More problematic for the White House than issues with the website, however, is the presidents broken promise that all Americans could keep their insurance plans under Obamacare.
Since Obama apologized for his unmet pledge, polls have shown a continual downward trend in whether Americans find him trustworthy.
You have to admit that such a statement made by a guy named Josh Earnest is laughably ironic
“...54 percent of respondents disapproved of the presidents job performance...”
Speaks volumes about who they interviewed, and the state of this nation, doesn’t it? It ought to be 95% or better.
LIEberals LIE!
ALWAYS!
The FAIL is strong with this one.
And, you can’t pick one up by the clean end!

Thanks Jacques Derrida.
You HAVE to laugh because if you start crying, you will never stop.
Where is the animated GIF of Cage laughing hysterically when you need it??
Have you noticed that the WH has stopped referring to it as Obamacare and started to call it the affordable care act? What will they call it when the masses begin to realize that it is not affordable and the Government doesn’t really care?
The White House has become like a farmer whom strives to cover up the fly crap inside the barn just before the inspection - White Wash. So appropriate to all of washington striving to cover all the crappola with a white wash. Hope DC gets plastered by a major snowfall that shuts it down for weeks.
better
The White House Press Corps is as much a part of the Obama propaganda machine as Obama’s press secretaries themselves.
There’s no reason to hold news conferences except to inform the public, so how can self-respecting journalists agree to make themselves willing accomplices in daily exercises whose purpose is to MISinform the public about Obama and his administration?
If the so-called journalist who asked about Obama’s low ratings had been specific, for example: ‘’The highly respected Quinnipiac polling company has found that Obama’s latest approval rating has fallen to 38%. What does the White House think of that?’’ the president’s press secretary could not have stated that he didn’t agree with those findings since the findings were specific facts, and he would have looked like a COMPLETE fool rather than merely the VAGUELY mumbling fool that he appeared and which could easily be overlooked.
The White House Press Corps actively HELPS the Obama propaganda machine by asking only vague questions that can easily be answered with vague, self-serving responses. How can any member of the White House Press Corps be taken seriously?
