They’re two of the most powerful African-American politicians in the land. And by most accounts, President Obama and Rep. Charles Rangel hate each other.
The most recently revealed salvo in their war of words — Obama’s assertion that Rangel is a “hack,” according to the political tome “Double Down” — is just one element of a long-dysfunctional relationship.
Rangel supported Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Democratic primary, but the seeds of mutual disdain were planted before that, according to Democratic insiders and staffers for both pols.

Since 2009 I have thought the President who follows Obama will find that Obama, Jarrett, Axelrod and company have moved millions to offshore accounts.
So, Rangel wanted a complimentary ticket to an event everybody else paid $35,000 for. Is that a sense of entitlement or is it just business as usual among thieves?
BTW, what is the entre for $35,000? Chicken?

When did this come about? Did not see anything on the news. LOL
I think the hate the two have can be traced to their formative years and how each of them handled them. Both Obama and Rangel are products of fathers who abandoned their families when both were very young. That is were the similarity ends. Obama ever since has pined for the father who abandoned him. Just the title of his book, “Dreams of My Father” proves it. The guy craves acceptance by the dirtbag who left him and his mother in the lurch. Rangel on the other hand had a different reaction. Rangel’s father was Puerto Rican. Till this day Rangel has never used his Hispanic background for political purposes. He even refuses to use Spanish in his campaign speeches. Even though it would help him, he refuses to. He has obliterated all memory of his father. Itstead of “Dreams of My Father”, Rangel’s book would be “My Father, You’re Dead to Me.” Thus Rangel has no respect for Obama as a man. It it is on a visceral level.

Given a choice between the two, I’d take Charlie Rangel the honorably discharged Marine combat veteran. He has no higher goals than scooping up loot for “his people”. At some level he realizes that there is a goose laying golden eggs that he ought not to kill. He is a known quantity.
The other guy is a foreigner, at heart if not by birth, who is out to destroy the country.
Let’s see if Obama supports an opponent of Rangel in next year’s election.

I doubt that ANYONE actually likes him; he is an asshole. They only like what he stands for politically. This is why they will toss him under the bus when not if he becomes a liability.
Rangel fought for the United States in a time of war. Wore the uniform.
None of us agree with him much - but he cares about our country and Rangel's NEVER been a communist... He was wrong about Hillary - she would have been a disaster. But he was right about Obama - he's wet behind the ears - doesn't know what he's doing...
My cousin is a frequent flier, with one of the major airlines. She was delighted, one time, on a flight from ORD to JFK when she was upgraded to First Class. Just before they closed the cabin door, in strutted his royal highness, Rev. Al, and sat in front of her. He smelled so bad (my cousin suspected it was the hairdo gel), that after they reached altitude, she discreetly went back to the galley, and requested to sit in coach. The flight attendant honored her request, with a knowing glance, as if to indicate she knew exactly what the problem was.

Nope. Obama is a nationalist, and I do not mean a nationalist as in a US patriot gone wild. Obama is a black nation nationalist, one who believes that historic justice needs to be meted out to the descendends of those who created and prosecuted slavery for economic benefit.
Obama wants justice against a people who were not even alive when the morally egregious instituition of slavery was i its hey day.
What shape does that take? Presidential intervention in municiple issues of the arrest of a black man who is a Harvard profesor, or t5he p[ublic comments about Trayvonn Martic to spark a sense of street justice, for example.
Obama is indeed a nationalist socialist. Its just not “our nation.” Holder exemplifies this view by refusing to prosecute the New Black Panthers for their poll watching conduct.Obama exemplifies this nationalist view by refusing to enforce current immigration law.
