Well we are not losing our insurance but apparently we are losing our doctor because of Obamacare. Went to a Christmas party tonight and was told by a friend who has the same doctor that her husband was in to see our doctor recently. There was a huge marketing push because the doctor is leaving and taking 600 patients with him. He is opening up a concierge service. $1800 a year and he will be your doc.
I knew our doc hated Obama and Obamacare but dang!!!!
This crap is going to effect everyone in one way or another.

Which brings us to the other way you can price health insurance: mandate that insurers charge the same price to everyone, regardless of health risk. The ACA does this, with the caveat that insurers are allowed a limited degree of age-based premium variation. Under ACA rules, the insurer wouldn't be allowed to raise Rosner's premium over a C-section.

Right.

And the only feasible out come is that the insurance companies will be bankrupted, and we'll be at the mercy of the politicians.

God help us.

Actually, the author is correct. There is no such thing as a free ride, so someone has to pay more so that someone else may pay less. It’s called socialism. So, earn more and/or take care of yourself, and you’ll have the privilege of taking care of those who don’t.

While there are some people who are poor or ill through no fault of their own, many others have made bad choices, like the homosexual who catches AIDS from sodomizing someone, the alcoholic who can’t hold a job, or the drug abuser who catches hepatitis from dirty needles. Those people will be covered at the expense of others who try to lead more responsible lives.

People on the Left forgo logic and slavishly follow and obey their anointed leaders. Witness what happened in Russia with Lenin and Stalin, China with Mao, Korea with Kim and now America with Obama. Dangerous flaw in the psychology of Leftists.

Neither should you complain that you only have four policies to choose from offered by only two insurance companies in your area, when you previously had so many choices that you complained about how hard it was to choose.

And you shouldn’t complain that the two companies can only offer policies that are almost identical, so in reality you can’t omit the policy features that you don’t want and don’t need, and thereby reduce the premium.

Central Planning: do us all a big favor! Thank you Comrades!

Wait...we’re not supposed to be talking about this anymore.
We’ve moved on to income inequality and the evil fast-food barons.

Don’t buy the Insurance, pay the fine.

Then when your “pre-existing” condition reappears, or you break your arm, buy Insurance and go to the Doctor. Just have the Ovamacare number on your cell phone so you can call them from the Waiting Room at Emergency to sign up.

Isn’t that what Obamacare says you can do? It isn’t Insurance, it’s Healthcare.

Why You Should(n't)...

There have be a lot of these titled articles coming from the MSM lately.

Is there a new agenda in the J-schools? Did someone focus-test this new style of push-journalism?

Funny that even Slate isn’t buying the claim that current insurers cancel everyone’s policies when they get sick. And yet... that was one of the primary “reasons” for Obiecare.

The lies go back all the way to the rationale for the legislation. In many ways it was a bill to fix a Democrat talking point, not a real problem.

Joshua A. “Josh” Barro is an American opinion journalist and the current politics editor at Business Insider.

He has previously worked as a Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, as a real estate banker for Wells Fargo, and as the lead writer for the Ticker, an economics and politics blog hosted by Bloomberg L.P. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Harvard.

He appears regularly on Bloomberg Television and has appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO and on All In with Chris Hayes on MSNBC. In early 2013, he was a prominent supporter of the trillion dollar coin, although by late 2013 he had changed his mind. Time named Barro’s Twitter feed one of “The 140 Best Twitter Feeds of 2013”, one of ten in the Politics category.

In 2012, Forbes selected him as one of the “30 Under 30” media “brightest stars under the age of 30”,and David Brooks listed him as part of the “vibrant and increasingly influential center-right conversation.” A former aide of Barack Obama named Barro among a short list of the President’s favorite columnists.

Barro lives in Queens, New York. He is openly gay and has written in support of gay marriage. His father is macroeconomist Robert Barro.

We got this in an email. Pass it on!

Obama Flowers - Have you ordered yours yet?

(Receptionist) Hello, Welcome to ObamaFlowers, My name is Trina. How can I help you?

(Customer) Hello, I received an email from Professional Flowers stating that my flower order has been canceled and I should go to your exchange to reorder it. I tried your website, but it seems like it is not working. So I am calling the 800 number.

(Receptionist) Yes, I am sorry about the website. It should be fixed by the end of November – or maybe December. But I can help you.

(Customer) Thanks, I ordered a “Spring Bouquet” for our anniversary, and wanted it delivered to my wife.

(Receptionist Interrupting) Sir, “Spring Bouquets” do not meet our minimum standards, I will be happy to provide you with Red Roses.

(Customer) But I have always ordered “Spring Bouquets”, done it for years, my wife likes them.

(Receptionist) Roses are better, sir. I am sure your wife will love them.

(Customer) Well, how much are they?

(Receptionist) It depends sir, do you want our Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum package.

(Customer) What’s the difference?

(Receptionist) 6, 12,18 or 24 Red Roses.

(Customer) The Silver package may be okay, how much is it?

(Receptionist) It depends sir, what is you monthly income?

(Customer) What does that have to do with anything?

(Receptionist) I need that to determine your government flower subsidy, then I can determine how much your out of pocket cost will be. But if your income is below our minimums for a subsidy, then I can refer you to our FlowerAid department.

(Customer) FlowerAid?

(Receptionist) Yes, Flowers are a Right, everyone has a right to flowers. So, if you can’t afford them, then the government will supply them free of charge.

(Customer) Who said they were a Right?

(Receptionist) Congress passed it, the President signed it and the Supreme Court found it Constitutional.

(Customer) Whoa.....I don’t remember seeing anything in the Constitution regarding Flowers as a Right.

(Receptionist) It is not really a Right in the Constitution, but ObamaFlowers is Constitutional because the Supreme Court Ruled it a “Tax”. Taxes are Constitutional. But we feel it is a Right.

(Customer) I don’t believe this...

(Receptionist) It’s the law of the land sir. Now, we anticipated most people would go for the Silver Package, so what is you monthly income sir?

(Customer) Forget it, I think I will forgo the flowers this year.

(Receptionist) In that case sir, I will still need your monthly income.

(Customer) Why?

(Receptionist) To determine what your ‘non-participation’ cost would be.

(Customer) WHAT? Your can’t charge me for NOT buying flowers!

(Receptionist) It’s the law of the land, sir, approved by the Supreme Court. It’s $9.50 or 1% of your monthly income.....

(Customer)interrupting) This is ridiculous, I’ll pay the $9.50..

(Receptionist) Sir, it is the $9.50 or 1% of your monthly income, whichever is greater.

(Customer) ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What a ripoff!!

(Receptionist) Actually sir, it is a good deal. Next year it will be 2%.

(Customer) Look, I’m going to call my Congressman to find out what’s going on here. This is ridiculous. I’m not going to pay it.

(Receptionist) Sorry to hear that sir, that’s why I had the NSA track this call and obtain the make and model of the cell phone your are using.

(Customer) Why does the NSA need to know what kind of CELL PHONE I AM USING?

(Receptionist) So they get your GPS coordinates sir

(Door Bell rings followed immediately by a loud knock on the door)

(Receptionist) That would be the IRS sir. Thanks for calling ObamaFlowers, have a nice day...and God Bless America.

(Liberals have) found a way to make insurance available to the chronically sick that will actually work for most of the public. But they haven't been upfront about the fact that their fix will be paid for with higher premiums for lots of healthy people...

It's amazing that people are just now figuring this out. How did they think Obamacare was going to work?
