The White House confirmed on Thursday President Obama had met his uncle, Onyango Obama, who was granted legal residency to the country this week — reversing a previous statement.
The White House had previously told The Boston Globe that the president had never met his uncle, after Onyango — referred to as Omar — was arrested in 2011 for drunk driving.
But it revised its statement on Thursday, saying the press office had not actually asked the president about his relationship with his uncle before talking to the Globe in 2011.
“The president first met Omar Obama when he moved to Cambridge for law school,” White House spokesman Eric Schultz told the Globe.
“The president did stay with him for a brief period of time until his apartment was ready. After that, they saw each other once every few months, but after law school they fell out of touch. The president has not seen him in 20 years, has not spoken with him in 10.”
Obama’s uncle, who had been living in the country illegally for nearly 40 years, told a deportation hearing on Wednesday that Obama briefly stayed with him at his apartment during college.
The White House maintained that the deportation case was processed without interference, according to the Globe.
President Obama’s aunt was also granted asylum in 2010 by the same judge.
So why on earth would they automatically say Obama had never met him without even asking the President?
(However, we all know they did actually ask him and he lied.)
This stinks.
Barry fibbed? Say it isn't so!
Maybe he just "misspoke" (like he did when he said we could keep our health insurance and doctors).
I am sure Obama tells the truth every now and then, but probably by accident. . . .

My cousin Millard has been with Pinkerton in DC for 30 years! It's well known that Obama isn't even an American citizen - that's why the press can't go after him about it.
Wow, how coincidental is that? Why don't you call him and have him join FR and relate his childhood experiences with Barry? That would be blockbuster cool!

Fibbed, well you have to go back to what that great Democrat President said when confronted with a question of whether he was telling the truth or not. It all depends on what the definition of is is!
Uncle Onyango gets buzzed and gets pinched and so he tells the cops “I’m calling the White House” then spills the beans that his nephew the President use to live in his house! Man, you gotta love them connections. Carney says that the reason the White House mob said he, Obama, didn’t know his uncle was because of a reference in Obama’s “Dreams of My Fathers” , a book said to have been written by Bill Ayers , that Uncle Onyango could have been a “composite”. See now it all makes sense! Gee, a lotta good stuff here, I wonder if they will ever be a movie.
The fact that we have a POTUS with an Uncle named “Onyango” offends me.
Just a minor glitch in his narrative, is all.
Actually, there have been bigger liars, but none that had the total support and cooperation of "The Press".
LOL! After telling us that Obama LIED AGAIN, they then expect us to believe that the White House didn't interfere with this.
