I knew before I took the quiz that I'd turn out to be hot chocolate!
You Are Hot Chocolate
Your holiday personality is generous.
The holidays are your favorite time to practice the art of giving.

You enjoy picking out presents, sharing treats, and making everyone's day a little brighter.
And you don't even notice if you don't get anything in return.

Well, I'm cider!

Folks ever hear of the drink Flip?

I had an old recipe years ago, tinkered with it till it was just right but of course I lost it.

Went like this: pint of ale, cup of rum, teaspoon of sugar, an egg and cinnamon.

Beat the egg extremely well so its as smooth as can be. Put the egg, cinnamon and sugar in a large sturdy glass ( or flip glass if you can find one )

heat the ale and rum in two different pans and get those pans hot but not boiling. When hot pour one into the other and start pouring them back and forth between the pans and be quick about it.

Take the mixture of ale / rum and pour it into the glass, stir it up and you have got a tankard of colonial flip. Pretty darned good and warms the insides. Original recipe stated “ plunge fire poker into drink to reheat “ but I was without a fire or a fire poker.

I use a Sam Adams ale and a dark rum.

I googled for a flip recipe not long ago and have seen a lot of variations. Didn't see one quite like this though. I used to have a pint of hot Flip before I headed out to shovel snow and have another once finished.

Brother, it hits the spot.

Thanks, Connie, for the tributes for our troops. *HUGS*

Hope your commute was easy without much traffic.

Lots of ice today, and fog. Looks very weird outside.

You Are Cider
Your holiday personality is cozy.
The holidays are your favorite time to stay home, stay warm, and spend time with those you love.

You don't need a lot to make you happy over the holidays.
Seeing an old relative or favorite holiday film is enough to make your day.

Good evening, Mac...*HUGS*...how were your commutes? Does traffic get better or worse with the holiday season and folks taking time off?

Cold and foggy today.
