Making his rounds at 7;24 pm?
Not uncommon. We get mail as late at 8:30pm sometimes.
Yes, I remember receiving mail that late in some cities.
The PO does not treat its peon employees very well.
do the welfare check come today
Zero information, but I would guess that this was a black-on-black crime.
I used to work with a guy who started out as a mailman walking his route.
I recall his once telling me that the mailman was the one person who could go about anywhere without worrying about being assaulted etc.
I guess it wasn’t true.
Most likely black on black violence. Life is cheap—poor guy doing his job and then gets popped. Sick society.
So senseless. What has happened to America?
Diversity.
We gifted generations of people into craven madness.
Ive gotten mail here in Los Angeles after 9pm its weird but it does happen
Notice the story was published by the British paper. Seems like a lot of the bad stories are first published by the British papers and not locals.
That may be so, but in some locales (such as the one here) one or two postal workers in the main office act like it's some kind of major favour to have to move their wide loads a few steps away from the counter and collect your mail just to step back and hand it over to you. Including demanding "proper ID" each time even though you've been going there for several years on.
Not saying anything about the individual in question, mind, but do not make the mistake of thinking that just because someone works for the postal service there is nothing else going on there. In this case, I would guess the neighborhood, and if true, then the postal service would have been well within its rights to refuse delivery due to an unsafe environment.
Prince Georges county has become a hazard since turning into a ghetto annex of DC populated by cannibal Hottentots.
That’s because our media is full of happy news about Dear Leader.
I should add: the individual in this article, not the individual(s) local here, which specific ones have all the warmth of an old cowflop on ice, and look like that one individual behind the counter that the one-eyed little guy was trying to explain about the ‘reports’ or ‘forms’ to in the movie “Monsters, Inc”.
Well, I’ll be interested to see if this gets as much attention as the death of that Census worker got.
He should have stayed in the truck.
Dreadful. RIP.
