And to think this museum didn’t get a space shuttle but NY and LA did. A crime.
Great thread, Galz! I’ve always wanted to go to the flight museum there!
I’ll second that. I’ve taken my boys and nephews to the Air Force Museum several times. It’s only two hours away. It’s one of the best places we’ve been.

Good evening, Mac...*HUGS*...did you have a good commute? Two of them? Did you have a tasty turkey?
Today has been a day from hades....nothng but problems, and I’m just now getting caught up. Whew!
My wife and I got to visit this wonderful place in late June. One of the best museum experiences ever! If I lived anywhere near this place, I would be back often . . . way too much to take in during one visit!

Good evening, Connie, and thank you for the tributes to our troops. *HUGS*
Back to work...did you have a good commute? Not too much traffic?
Rough day here...non-stop problems, none of my making. I think I finally have most of them fixed. Still not done.
I was gifted to work at the base for almost twenty years including some time near Huffman Prairie. As I was going to and from I never failed to look over at the field where the first Master pilot was born. Wilbur taught himself through trial and error. He made the first 360 degree turns here and I suspect he flew into his own prop wash as I did later in my first hour of flight training. He practiced this over and over again in this small portion of the Prairie until he had mastered it, it seems flight training was born here also.
Good evening, Duncan...enjoy the trip.

Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
I am blessed to live only 2 miles from the base and have been there many many times. I have still not been able to spend the amount of time to properly take in all the exhibits. It really is a 2-day event if you want to do it right. And don’t forget to take in the presidential exhibit!
Our thanks to your son for his service to our country.
Good evening, laplata...enjoy the road trip.
Welcome to the Canteen, BRL...thanks for sharing your experiences.
Good evening, Sand...((HUGS))...sounds like a bucket list destination.
Good evening, Kathy. *Hugs*
Great trip, for sure.
