“the common good of society”

Ever been to Pennsylvania? How about Massachusetts? Kentucky? Virginia? They’re not states. They’re ‘commonwealths’. Their founding fathers believed in the ‘common good’, hence the name ‘commonwealth’.

Read John Locke on the subject: http://www.lonang.com/exlibris/locke/loc-210.htm

Obama displays something of a Peronist, corporatist ideology, which, again, was created and spread by old Soviet intelligence agencies as disinformation intended to destroy Western capitalism—and the Catholic church.

“They’re ‘commonwealths’”

That is an acknowledgement that certain aspects of government activity are for the benefit of all citizens, not that they are socialist.

Weal is the root word, not wealth, as in money/assets.

The concept that government should exist and treat all citizens equally is the idea (and a noble one), not that all citizens wealth should be shared by the government, which is one form of tyranny.

I guess that explains why the Republicans just raised our gas taxes to the highest in the nation.
