According to Kang, her post was taken down within three hours of going viral. Facebook then shut down her account, saying her words constituted hate speech.

I’m a fat person and I’m tired of people trying to put me in a victim class. I don’t need protection.
People who don’t have a problem with weight don’t understand those of us who do. I can try to correct and to educate, but in the end she has the right to her opinions and beliefs.

Facebook is a private enterprise that doesn’t have to allow anyone access who they don’t want. But this was stupid on the P.R. side.
