I checked the voting records for my precinct. I think they claimed about 97% voter turnout with 99% for Zero.

You couldn't get 97% of the people in my precinct to vote even with a free chicken dinner, an Obamaphone and an extra $20 on their EBT cards.

The fact that the GOP went along with Clinton's 'motor voter' drive once again shows which side is the party of stupid: increasing the voter rolls only gives the Rats more votes to steal and a bigger ballot box to stuff.

BTW, in order to vote I had to run a gauntlet of SEIU goons demanding to know for whom I would vote. I lied.

LOL: I wouldn't be surprised.

An Illinois Republican can be brain damaged by a stroke with no discernible difference in political behavior.

The IL Republican motto: "We want a little less graft, but we want it going to our buddies instead of theirs!"

Even most conservatives refuse to believe that our election system, especially in blue areas, is completely corrupt and a racket for the Marxists in charge. We haven’t had fair elections in years, if not decades. Bush won Florida by many tens of thousands, but the Dems just didn’t cheat quite enough to pull it out.

You don’t get elections with just fractions of percentage points difference - it’s statistically improbable. Virginia’s latest Governor and AG races are prime examples. The Democorrupts just pulled enough “votes” out of thin air to get the Dem across the finish line by a hair.

Without vote fraud and media bias, the Democratic party would have disappeared twenty years ago.

My wife forced me to watch the NPR news show last night, so I saw their interview with Scott Walker. It was supposed to be an interview about his book, but the 'journalist' didn't miss a beat in stressing every single Rat talking point: (a) the 'deadlock' in DC that's the fault of the Republicans; (b) the 'divisiveness' caused by Republicans' confrontation with public employee unions; (c) gay marriage and abortion.

Even my wife was laughing at the transparent bias-- Walker could barely get a single word in over the alleged journalist's diatribes masquerading as questions.

There is no cure for this bias. At least as a part of normal politics. The only real cure is to quietly take such 'journalists' aside and beat them soundly until some real balance is reintroduced.

Yes, this will have to become literally physical at some point. It is inevitable. The sooner the better.

“The only real cure is to quietly take such ‘journalists’ aside and beat them soundly until some real balance is reintroduced.”

You’re right. I came to that conclusion a few years ago. The only way to get some balance is to make the “journalists” realize we will burn down their lake homes, smash their luxury cars to pieces, deface their chief asset (their faces), and otherwise make their lives a living hell if they do not start acting more fairly.

Your suggestion is okay. I live two blocks west of Mundelein, so I live in the western half of Lake Co.

Are you glad that ex-Rep. Dold is running again, or do you hope that a conservative will run, in the primary? Last Jan., I emailed State Sen. Duffy, State Rep. Osmond, Lake Co. Sheriff Curan, and Lake Co. Clerk Helander to run. All of them said that they don’t want to run for Congress.

Rutherford’s last vote in the IL Senate was “YES” to civil unions. Look where that lead. He is not acceptable.

He's better than Rauner and Dillard. I can't put all my eggs in Brady's basket. Brady is certainly the most conservative overall but didn't he p*ss a lot of people off supporting driver's licenses for illegals? None of them are perfect, I won't sit by and watch one of the worse 2 win. I'll go for whichever one is in best position to take the primary over those 2 scumbags. Last time I liked Proft the best but he was polling dead last so I went with Brady.

I agree that Rutherford is the best candidate, in that race, but I don’t like any of them, much.

Rauner is the worst candidate because he’s pro-choice and because he donated to Mayor Emanuel’s campaign.

Brady & Dillard voted for the law that will allow illegal aliens to get driver’s licenses. I want to vote for a candidate who might win the primary & general elections. Since Brady & Dillard lost, in 2010, there’s no reason to think that either of them can win in 2014.

The last two republican goverors (George Ryan and Jim Edgar) held statewide offices, when they were elected governor. Since Rutherford is the state treasurer, that will help him win the general election. While he was a state senator, he proved that he’s pro-tax cuts, pro-life, and pro-gun rights.

Seriously - Kirk was on WLS talk radio last week and damned near gave an endorsement of Dick Turban for re-election. I was screaming at the radio. It would not surprise me if Kirk never endorses a Republican, remains silent, and quietly roots for Dick Turban.

This is particularly a problem in the Midwest, where I see lots of naive white people who simply cannot even imagine the political depravity of the Democrats (and in Illinois, many Republicans) who will not hesitate to lie, cheat and steal in any manner they can to stay in power.

For example, there are many 'grants' at the Federal and state level for non-profit organizations to help 'community policing' or 'unemployment retraining.'

How many people know that most of the groups that receive such money have boards identical to the local Democratic precinct committee? Or that the city of Chicago disburses 'unemployment retraining' funds to black preachers, who not only skim a large part of the money but who use the rest to buy votes/fill out fraudulent absentee ballots/do Democratic party work, etc.?

It's the same everywhere else the Demcratic party holds sway in the Midwest: Milwaukee, Minn.-St. Paul, heavy union areas in Illinois/Iowa/Minnesota and Michigan.

There is no lever of government finance or state power that is not abused or subject to massive corruption in order to maintain or extend the political power of the Democratic Party-- it's the world's largest criminal conspiracy.

He’s the best we have and the civil unions were supposed to be a compromise deal. They gave homosexuals the legal rights they demanded. We didn’t have the votes to stop it outright. Don’t make the perfect the enemy of the good. Rutherford’s a typical statewide GOP pol... except he did very well in urban areas and his minority outreach is top notch. It’s that minority vote that is critical here in IL.

I wish we had two Mark Kirks from Illinois, although I’d prefer two Fitzgeralds by far. I don’t think that’s the reality here in Obamacountry.
